It’s a couple of months old but for some reason it’s been making the rounds this week, and nothing stokes the traffic fires like outrage. So here you go. You can thank Australia’s “Ronnie Johns Half Hour” comedy sketch show.

It’s funny for the first 8 seconds maybe…What’s really not funny is how so many don’t take the real threat to the world that these terrorists pose…

Two words. Bad taste. Argue that Allahpundit.
THeDRiFTeR on November 24, 2006 at 2:19 PM
Tasteless. Reminds of the BBC Terrorism Awards.

72 virgins, each sold separately.
This guy isn’t a comedian. He’s a marketing *GENIUS*.
I wonder if there’s a corresponding “9/11 conspiracy” set, where the faux-jihadi Mossad guy has detachable hasidic side-curls, and there’s a “tortured Lefty academic” doll in the set with a whole stack of “evidence”.
…not doll…action figure….

My son has one of those……the problem is that the neighbor kid has a real G.I. Joe who kills Jihadi Joe almost time before he can complete his mission.
He wants a CAIR doll for christmas so he has a voice in the media to defend him.

I love it when islamomaniacs are ridiculed and lampooned. Laugh ‘em back into the Dark Ages with their false pride. *spit*

I actually agree that the Twin Towers bit is in bad taste, however I suppose the Gaza strip part is too depending on your geographic location. But TheDrifter, your “argue that” line reveals exactly why you come here. Just to be a pain in the ass.

It stung a bit, but would have made it funnier would be a “Coalition Autopsy Playset” where Jihadi Joe is cut open and stuffed with pig entrails before embalming for burial.
Heroic Coalition Forces Figures each sold seperately!

Poor taste, indeed. But it seems to me that the comic is making some points, and not wrong ones. The line at the end reveals this:
Poking fun at the “If I can’t do X then the terrorists have won” formula to show its absurdity is not a bad thing.
The terrorists will never win as long as we can say “I will not submit”.
Still, poor taste.

Well, I’ll go ahead and say it: I thought it was funny. Lighten up folks. Sometimes, it’s okay to laugh at ourselves, and even the world around us.

About as acceptable as OJ trying to capitalize on the deaths of Brown and Goldman. An idiotic attempt at humor by a jack ass.
sonnyspats1 on November 24, 2006 at 9:11 PM
Those Bratz dolls ain’t virgins.
Savage on November 24, 2006 at 9:18 PM
How about a “Jihad Granny” doll? Walker and cane sold seperately.
Anybody remember when these jihadi losers tried to pass off a G.I. Joe doll for a “captured soldier”?
No wonder they can fly a plane into a skyscraper but can’t BUILD either of them. It’s easier to destroy than it is to create.
Tony737 on November 24, 2006 at 9:38 PM
Wow, that was pretty sick.

I found this schtick quite humorous, as well as in bad taste.
To all of the finger-wagging holier-than-thou “saints” out there, if you don’t get it, then you have absolutely no clue as to how the United States is viewed by the rest of civilazation, even our friends.
You’ve got friends who’ll occasionally “make a funny” at your expense, don’t you?
This “how dare you” attitude, closed-mindedness, and our “superiority complex” contribute to our negaitive image on the world stage.
To close; yes, I laughed and yes, I cringed.

OK, I thought it was funny. I laughed, nervously at first. Then I realized the bit was actually insulting Islam….an you know what happens to those who insult Islam….
After I realized this, I laughed even harder. There probably is a fatwah out there for this guy’s head. Does he realize this? Does realize he was taking his life in his hands? If he did, then it makes it that much funnier.
I am just jealous I didn’t think of it first.
netherman79 on November 25, 2006 at 9:58 AM
Of course it was in bad taste – I think that was the desired effect. Often times, the best humor is in bad taste.
