Recently re-elected Senator Joe Lieberman said Dems would pay at the polls if they don’t live up to the promises they made. Lieberman also said he would not be running for President in 2008.

When asked if he would support Gore in 2008, Lieberman said he would look at others who were running in both parties. He said they have major differences in opinion, especially regarding what to do in Iraq.

One good turn deserves another.

I hear he is not the only Dem wanting Gore and Kerry to hit the pasture.

Joe does have a way about him.

The Dems would be smart to run this man for President. I’d be inclined to vote for him.

JasonG on November 22, 2006 at 1:21 PM

What’s the big deal? Joe is supposed to say in 2006, who he is gonna support in 2008? That’d be stupid. Colmes is fond of asking dumb questions this week.

….Colmes is fond of asking dumb questions this week.

Only this week?

I don’t watch, so I can only go by what’s posted here and they’ve been pretty stupid ;)

Lieberman on Hannity&Colmes last night was my favorite interview of the day. It’s not shown on the clip posted by Ian but Hannity asked Lieberman how he felt about his colleagues betraying him during the midterm elections. Hannity listed, to Lieberman, name after name of the Democratic senators who stabbed him in the back… and I loved Joe’s response

Maybe you could edit that in Ian? I know it might make it a long clip but I think it’s worth it. I thought it was the most interesting part…

Hey Opinionnation, I missed the H/C show. Can you give us a nutshell version of Joe’s response?

BacaDog on November 22, 2006 at 1:57 PM

I hereby endorse Gore as a moonbat moron loser.

More proof that Lieberman is an opportunistic two faced liar as all politicians are. I voted for him, but only to send Dead Lamo packing!

He’s just enjoying have the dems squirm a bit… he’s still a devout Jew who beleives in abortion… that’ll tell how honest he is!

Hey Opinionnation, I missed the H/C show. Can you give us a nutshell version of Joe’s response?

In a nutshell he called them partisan bi*ches and rubbed his win in their face :-)

Hannity: You had Hillary Clinton, you had Barack Obama, Barbara boxer, Russ Feingold, Tom Harkin, Chris Dodd, John Kerry. These were colleagues of yours. Many of them for 18 long years. And they were quick to abandon you… How hard was that on you and how are they acting towards you now?

Lieberman: … They were following, in one sense the traditional partisan political playbook. – Uh, I was doing something different. But it hurt! There’s no concealing it… but in the end, there’s no better comfort than to win.

What does Alan expect? Yeah, Gore chose him, but then Gore dropped him, so the loyalty is kinda over.

Esthier on November 22, 2006 at 2:47 PM

…hardball, Joe…play that hardball.

“I really *AM* independent now.” Let Colmes eat it.

It’s a luxury to disagree with an honest man.

Puritan1648 on November 22, 2006 at 2:51 PM

I know he’s a Liberal, I know it, I know it!

Gore and the rest of the Dems showed their loyalty by throwing Joe under the bus and then ran over him several times!

But Joe kinda reminds me of the old traditional Democrats, some what a centrist, but a liberal non the less.

I like him. Remember who your frinds are and keep your enemys close.

Payback’s A Bitch, aint it?

The Dems denied him the ticket, because they had a hissy fit, he ran as an independent and won anyway. Now they want him to automatically support them? Yeah, sure.

“But Joe kinda reminds me of the old traditional Democrats, some what a centrist, but a liberal non the less.”

I agree.

americanpundit on November 22, 2006 at 4:13 PM

Joe “Zel” Lieberman is, I think, the last of his kind.

JohnJ on November 22, 2006 at 4:47 PM

Joe is no doubt a huge Liberal, however he has NADS and he isn’t going to let the flip flopping group that dumped him get his upper hand. Nooooooooooooo way. LOL , I love it, way to go Joementum man !!

“Smart”. Unfortunately for them, that’s the problem.
