Show of hands, who here would like their fate determined by Newt, Sean, Ann, and Michelle? I’m fairly certain I’d be quite ok with that.

Newt could be the president, Ann Coulter the Attorney General, Sean Hannity for State, and Michelle for Press Secretary. While I’m at it, Mark Levin at Treasury, Thomas Sowell at Education (Don’t worry, he’d push for it to be abolished), Joseph Farah for U.N. Ambassador. Hmm, maybe Rush would like to be Newt’s Chief of Staff.

Wouldn’t that be the start of a nightmare for Alcee Hastings and his ilk?

Nor should faceless and nameless people at the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Times, the L.A. Times, the Dallas Morning News, and others take liberties without at least giving me an opportunity to respond.

In other words: every logical thinking person in touch with the media today? “Gee, I hope no one notices what a loser I am.” “Gee I hope no one brings up the fact that I’m completely unqualified for this position.” I mean what sort of defense is that?

She said “balls” on television, that makes her a hero in my book….lol

I hope that my fate is not determined…anonymous bloggers, and other assorted misinformed fools. Nor should faceless and nameless people…and others take liberties without at least giving me an opportunity to respond.

…hmmm…pundits and the proletariat, the bane of the perpetual incumbent.

America (and our armed forces, the prime recipients of the intelligence he’d be “overseeing” were he to win) have had Mr. Hastings foisted upon them by an anonymous and, seemingly, misinformed electorate in his district. Why shouldn’t he, then, with overwhelming power and free access to the deepest of our nation’s defense secrets, be made to feel uncomfortable. Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown, after all.

But, just as evident, is the fact that all we anonymous and misinformed fools out here in electorate land must remember: this isn’t about national security, good governance or what’s best for the nation. What’s of *PRIME* importance here is Mr. Hastings’ *FATE*, which, of course, he doesn’t want determined by those pundits and we unwashed prols…the way it is with *ALL* other public figures, from Michael Richards to Pelosi to Murtha to the President himself.

He evidently thinks that he’s some special case, worthy of special consideration. Considering his actions culminating in the events of 1988, I’d say that he was right.

The problem for Mr. Hastings is that special consideration would be to overlook any seniority his safe seat gives him and to consign him to harmless duties until the electorate of his district has sense enough to realize that the hood they foisted upon the nation is going nowhere.

Is that confidence really ‘foolishly ambitious’? Alcee is both. And that may be dangerous.

The absurdity of Alcee Hastings is just beyond comprehension. We joke and choke, but this is horribly real.

I dont know whether to joke or scream. So I’ll just read and be thankful for you all and Michelle and all the wonderfulness in the US of A today. And pray that no one like Pelosi or Alcee takes any of it away.
