Because heterosexuals are far more considerate than homosexuals, we gave up calling homosexuals by the “q-word”, because homosexuals claimed it was negative. We adopted their chosen “gay” (inaccurate as it may be) because heterosexuals are, as I said, more considerate.

Speak for yourself.

Could we maybe insist on some consideration in return, and get the homosexuals to stop using “homophobe”? Could they maybe substitute another word I find less offensive? Like.. Oh, I dunno… “normal”? Or “moral”? Or “sane”?

I agree. Allahpundit and Ace have both opinied that the use of the the tazer on the UCLA student was out of bounds.

Well, as much as I respect their opinions, I have to disagree. I can’t think of a single post where the humor and readability aren’t dramatically increased with the vigourous application of tazers to various deserving parties.

Clay Aiken and his wandering hands? Tazer!

Imans jumping up to vigourously pray on a flight? Tazer!

Michael Richards going all KKK’ish? Tazer!

You see what I mean? All situations crying out for the aggressive use of tazers.

Heck, I’m gonna go buy my own tazer and start putting it to use as soon as possible. You think I’m gonna put up with people in front of me in Starbucks spending 5 minutes to order some gay-ass mocca rocca frapacinno super-delux with cinimin sprinkles, lime wedges and a host of other absurd ingredients?

On a related note, I discovered while attending NYU that a certain brand of gay guy (note, I am not AT ALL saying that this is true of all or even most gay men) will way overstep the boundaries of appropriate when dealing with girls. I don’t know if it’s a case of mistaken beliefs about how girls treat other girls or if it’s just the guys thinking they can get away with it. I had one gay RA in my dorm sophomore year that called me a “cheeky c#nt” as a term of endearment. I found it wholly inappropriate, but I’m not the type to complain about things that don’t really matter. I also had multiple gay guys in my drama courses attempt to grab my boobs (Always failed attempts, I’m quick with the block!). When I would ask them what the heck they thought they were doing, they would always say, “It’s alright. I’m gay. It’s not a sexual thing.” I’d always say, “I don’t let girls touch my breasts either, so you’re out of luck.”

If only someone would put their hand over Rosie’s big mouth.
