Photos of the day

It’s Thanksgiving week so I’m going to score some easy content by lifting these from the Freepers.
Which is more depressing? The one of the two semi-literate monsters?
Or the one of Ahmadinejad and Mugabe?
A quote from Mugabe’s visit to Tehran from Iranian state media:
The Supreme Leader referred to Iran’s growing progress in scientific and technological fields and hoped that transfer of such experience to Zimbabwe and implementation of mutually-signed agreements will further expand bilateral relations.

It’s a tie–too bad that the ‘overtime period’ nevers ends.
Who’s Sheehan’s little sister?
If Mugabe had the weapons and soldiers that Akmeddinnerjacket has, half of Africa would be dead

The “semi-literate” “little sister” is Medea Benjamin, the founder of Code Pink.

If you want your blood to boil take a look at this article about Cindy Sheehan’s visit to South Korea, invited by the various left-wing organizations there. My favorite line: “I’m sorry about what my country is doing to yours.”
Considering how Confucianism prizes loyalty and patriotism, the South Koreans must be puzzled about this strange “wae-guk-in” called Cindy Sheehan that has no patriotism for her country. She doesn’t realize even the South Korean left-wingers there are looking at her as some type of freak.

Definitely a toss-up between Alfred E. Neuman’s Iranian cousin and the woman who lives in mortal fear of military “bsae’s”…Jeez, lady…TAKE an extra five minutes to proof and reprint. Cindy can start the muckraking without you. It almost makes you nostalgic for our Vietnam era protesters…They at least seemed to know which way was up.

You know, all we need is a strongman of our own on their border to act as a bullwark against the tyranny of the religious extremists and… Wait, no, sorry. Forget I said that.

That’s South Korea, Defector. Probably Pyongtaek.

I sure hope that “bsae” is fauxtography. ‘Cause if it’s not, that is some bohunkus lazy protesting.

Hiraghm on November 21, 2006 at 1:44 PM
A tough one, Ahmadinejad and Mugabe clearly have better dental work than Cindy. And my guess is Ahmadinejad and Mugabe also are better spellers. Also by the look on their faces, I think Ahmadinejad needs to use the toilet. Whereas the look in Cindy’s face says she’s wondering if she can go on a poop strike until the US gives everything back to everyone everywhere.
The winner is … this week’s pictures of Britney partying with Paris in London without her pants on. Say that three times fast.

Januarius:
Well, we should apologize. After all, South Korea is supposed to be our ally. How, in good conscience, could we let Cindy Sheehan go there? Really, if my (almost) 2 year old child went and made a ridiculous, spoiled, offensive spectacle of himself in someone else’s house, I think I’d apologize.

Exactly. Koreans admire gumballs, not nutjobs ( Yes, I know about the frequent ‘student’ riots, but even the ‘student’ rioters admire….. )
Janos Hunyadi on November 21, 2006 at 1:51 PM
Half of Zimbabwe already is, Janos. I was there last year while old Bobby was bulldozing “illegal” housing on the outskirts of Harare. Tens of Thousands of people left homeless overnight.
And to think…the esteemed UN nominated Mugabe for the Human Rights Commission.

Conservative blogs need to stop posting stuff about Sheehan. She doesn’t have any crediblity left. We continue to make her (mildly) relevant by posting her picture.

What is ironic is that Sheehan is in SOUTH KOREA telling the Korean people that the US needs to not be there.
This after North Korea just tested an abomb.
I guess she doesnt mind slavery to be spread to South Korea.

The last numbers I saw estimated over 75% of the indigenous folks were infected with AIDS. On top of that, many of the locals had small huts where they sold soapstone and other carvings which was their main source of income. Mugabe shut all of them down in the last year.
The economy is listed by the IMF as one of the worst ever recorded in a non-war zone, with annual inflation currently in excess of 1,000%. A recent article in the Zim daily noted drug prices increasing over 2.5% per day, due to critical shortages of raw materials and lack of hard currency for importing needed supplies.
Lastly, Mugabe’s land reform policies have resulted in mass shortages of grain and other food and cash crops for export. Beef herds have declined to the point where there will effectively be no beef available in less than 18 months. Power is rationed via rolling blackouts, and petrol and diesel are practically non-existent.
In short, it’s a human disaster, and noone cares. Especially the UN.

I was stationed at Camp Humphreys a few years ago – I can only imagine what the guys there now think of her. Turning her son’s death into a movement to condemn anything military at all. And at least we have the freedom to call her an asshat.

Hmmm, it does sound like Rosie overstepped the etiquette of coming out. The last I could find of Clay discussing his sexuality was this
This was at TMZ.com. Did Rosie make an unwanted flying leap here? Clay obviously wants to keep some ambiguity when it comes to his sexuality and “quick to judge Rosie” decides that crying “Homophobe” is more important than Clay’s feelings. Again, I really believe she likes to make these things about herself.

…we can live in hope that the picture was taken just before they thrust their passports into space heater. Then we could deny them reentry into the US, and they could drift off to France, there to live as a modern day Gertrude and Alice B., looking down their scary noses at the world.
A pint-sized, pink-o who hasn’t *YET* found an enemy of the US she hasn’t liked.
A raggedy former porn addict whose “grief” for a son who’d probably disavow her existence were we able to consult him has worn beyond thin.
A rolly-polly totalitarian, only in power because he’s too dim to be a real threat to anyone beyond his borders, and dismissed by lethargic “humanitarians” tripping over their own “enlightened” ethic of letting blacks kill blacks all they want.
…and a little maniacle whelp with delusions of messianic moral authority.
A wealth of choice.
I vote for the chick pic. The totalitarian pic is too easy.

This is from the Sawyer interview:
“I just don’t understand why people care, to be honest with you. I’m not spending my time with this anymore.
(Quoted from a FoxNews.com article)
It does appear that Rosie committed a major faux pas and clearly overstepped her bounds. I find this unconscionable from someone who obviously should have known better.

Heh. Good one.
Others have already opined. But as for me, I think Marcus Tullius Cicero said it best 50 years before the birth of Christ.
“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”
Ahmadinejad and Mugabe are open enemies. But Cindy and Medea? They are akin to the traitors Cicero spoke of so long ago.
In objecting to such a label the ladies doth protest too much, methinks.

Janos Hunyadi on November 22, 2006 at 1:50 AM
Several already have. Most have relocated to Zambia or South Africa and a few to Mozambique.
It’s a tragedy when you have to simply walk away from everything you own and everything you have worked for all of your life due to nothing more than a crazy SOB running the show.
“Walk away” means exactly that. If one chooses to leave Zim, all non-personal assets must stay. For a farmer, that means abandoning all of their machinery and equipment, seed stocks, etc.
It’s basically a “Beverly Hillbillies” scenario where they load up the Land Rover with what they can, and leave everything else behind.
Including their cash. If they weren’t smart enough to have banked some in a foreign bank over the years, Mugabe’s policies severly limit the amount they can export.
Back to your point though…..you’re right. Bobby will eventually starve the entire country and nobody will notice.
