The governments in the Middle East want focus to be on Palestine. By making the Palestine-Israel conflict the center of attention, the problems of their own regimes are pushed to the rear. This way, the anger of the people is directed at Israel, instead of their own governments.

The United Nations Human Rights Council should broaden its focus beyond the Palestinian-Israeli issue to avoid accusations it is one-sided, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan said Tuesday.

What the h–l took him so long? What did he do in all these years? What will his legacy be? The U.N. as a whole is pretty worthless but Annan tops the wasteland of incompetence and lack of accomplishments.

“I’m now departin’, havin’ left little change behind, havin’ affected the world little for the better, havin’ changed the Middle-East little, and havin’ done nothin’ but rant against the U.S. and Israel. I’m leavin’ the U.N. pretty much as I found it, havin’ presided over the biggest corruption in its history and not havin’ changed much since.”

Its boring not accomplishing nothing here, when there are lots of other conflicts where the UN can accomplish nothing.
