Bravo, Michelle.

NICE ONE, Michelle! They fight so dirty!

Release the MOONBATS into The Realm.

Free speech for eeeeeeveryone but those TRUCULENT FEMALES.

Off with our heads!

Wait…that comes later…after the burqa.

seejanemom on November 17, 2006 at 8:14 AM

I would have contempt for Olbermann if he weren’t so far beneath it.

kmcguire on November 17, 2006 at 8:16 AM

I like how, uh, his guest, uh, could hardly, uh, read a teleprompter, or uh, his notes, uh…. until he got to say ‘truculent’ about female conservatives.

Thank you, Michelle, for embarrassing him once again with the TRUTH.

Jonathon on November 17, 2006 at 8:19 AM

One can only admire Michelle, period.

Ropera on November 17, 2006 at 8:24 AM

After seeing this attack on Michelle I kept waiting for a reply. Well the reply came and it was delivered with passion and true sense of honor. Great work! From one of your mindless robots LOL.

Mr Paul on November 17, 2006 at 8:27 AM

Olberman is a tool… when us neo-con fascists take over he will be the first to be silenced. I’m just waiting to receive the signal from Karl Rove on the mothership…

Brings up a good point I have been pondering for a while… why is violence ok, but only if you’re a liberal? I guess the ends justify the means, as long as it is their means..

BadBrad on November 17, 2006 at 8:29 AM

I agree with you Michelle, and if I was the “target” of those attacks on Olbermann’s show, I would have responded as you have.

That being said, it is unfortunate that Olbermann gets more publicity out of this. You wonder if he’s trying to raise his profile/notoriety by first going after O’Reilly, and then taking shots at you, Laura, and Ann to become a lightining rod of the left. I’m sure you’re aware of this as well, even though like I said above, I think you were right to respond.

How old were those pictures/videos of you? Definitely not recent, that’s for sure!

I really enjoy this website, USUALLY agree with Michelle’s views, but I am NOT planning on shooting any Presidents or sending any white poweder to Keith Olbermann. And if for some reason I “snap,” I hereby release Ms. Malkin from any culpability.

asc85 on November 17, 2006 at 8:30 AM

I, uh, learned, uh, uh, in speech, uh, class, uh, uh, that, uh, uh, you, uh, shouldn’t, uh, say, uh, “uh” all, the, uh, time.

Jeesh, what a retard. And this guy is a “Senior Writer” for some on-line rag? I’d really hate to listen to a junior writer.

I am kinda new around here. I consider it a privelege to be able to post here. For me it is a learning experience,as I am a novice in politics and the like. Its like being able to stand on a soap box in Hyde Park and express my views and opinions. I also benefit from reading the views and opinions expressed by my fellows on a miriad of topics put forth here. I get the idea some of them are well educated folks. I would like to thank the people who facilitate this site and make it happen. I don,t think I would get an opportunity any where else to exchange ideas as is available here in this forum. I must say I never felt compelled to do anything but read and post here. I sincerely hope that the actions of any person who may have emotional or psychological difficulties are not seen as being fostered or spawned as a result of participating in the healthy exchanges that take place here.

seejanemom on November 17, 2006 at 8:43 AM

I have been following Michelle for a few years now (thanks to C-Span). Discovering this site has been a great joy to me (especially during these troubling times).

As for the piece – all I can say is “what do you expect”. Calling out the MSM has been a fruitless effort. This is just an example of how invulnerable they feel.

When will someone do an expose on the MSM (one at a time)? Something like Pallywood is helpful, but who will go after 60 Minutes and CNN directly with a multi year investigation?

Then Oberman’s outrageous behavior would be less amusing to those who feel he is anything but a hack.

Agrippa2k on November 17, 2006 at 8:43 AM

Am I the only one who can’t see the video?

BJ on November 17, 2006 at 8:48 AM

Good response, Michelle. I was always told you don’t want to validate the smear tactics by responding to them, but sometimes you just don’t have a choice. Oblerman has certainly stepped over the line on multiple occasions, but he is definitely stretching it trying to say you, Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham inspired the anthrax scare letters. I admit I used to love watching Oblerman on ESPN Sports Center back in the day. He should have stayed there. I haven’t cared one iota for his liberal schtick since he left there to be on MSNBC. I’m not saying the guy shouldn’t have an opinion about politics, but stick to the damn topic and do your research, idiot. Would you have gotten away with this dreck while reporting game stats?

DakRoland on November 17, 2006 at 8:55 AM

Scientific Method:

1. Observe reality
2. Formulate a theory based on observed reality
3. Make predictions based on your theory
4. Prove or disprove your theory based on evidence

Liberal Method:

1. zzzz
2. Formulate a theory based on what you want to believe
3. Make assertions based on your theory
4. Ignore or ban all evidence that disproves your theory

Great job Michelle! Unfortunately your logic is lost on libs like Olberman.

pappy on November 17, 2006 at 8:59 AM

Michelle, your comments are lost on Olberman. While I agree it is critical not to give up the battle of ideas, you should not raise him to your level of significance in political debate by wasting so much time on that fool.

Shoot, who the heck goes to MSNBC on the tube or online. The goal should not be to boost him or MSNBC, but to expose both as prostitutes for socialism and despotism.

doufree on November 17, 2006 at 9:05 AM

An awesome response. And needed. Thank you for putting that together.

Laserlawyer on November 17, 2006 at 9:05 AM

It’s refreshing to see a conservative actually fighting back in the arena of ideas today. The one thing that sickens me is how some people actually believe the nonsense that Olby speaks. Thanks Michelle for giving me a real lift on this Friday. It feels good to fire back with truth. You are speaking “Truth to lunacy”. Their bile filled hate speech make me want to take a shower. I hope you keep up these firm responses to the left’s lying.

Michelle has some balls.

One of the best Hot Air TV programs, ever.

Ian on November 17, 2006 at 9:06 AM

Mrs. Malkin just gave those clowns a thumpin’.

All that stuttering may have been because of the corner Olberman tried to back him into. He probably thought Keith was going to ask about Lynne Cheney’s new book.

Now if I could just find that decoder ring so I can hold it up to the monitor and get my marching instructions for today.

iNeXuS on November 17, 2006 at 9:21 AM

That’s the problem with Libs! They need leaders! Religeious Leaders, Civil Leaders, Govermental Leaders, Community Leaders! All of which tell them what to do, what to think and what to say. Therefore, they believe that everyone else needs leaders as well!

I have no leader and most conservatives I know don’t have them either!

We have beliefs and values which were inspired by GOD, instilled in us by our parents and teachers, reaffirmed by those who have defended this country for hundreds of years, and espoused by individual thinkers the likes of Ronald the Great.

So, while we may have representatives in government, no earthly “leader” is required thank you very much.

Well done. Olberman’s rhetoric is absurd, and he’d be laughed out of his job if he wasn’t liberal.

High Desert Wanderer on November 17, 2006 at 9:34 AM

The good news: Nobody watches PMSNBC
The bad news: Those that do watch believe that Farenheit 911 IS a documentary, they accept “Loose Change” as gospel and believe there is no threat from Islamic extermists.
Well come January 2007 they will officially be the party in power so when a conservative criticises them after that aren’t we just speaking truth to power?
It did make me mad that in the clip you have, they attempted to portray the conservative women, for lack of a better word, pundits as some sort of David Koresh cult leaders, and we all know how liberals dealt with him. So this is yet another example of what liberals and the jihadists have in common, an irrational fear of strong women, which also explains their condemnations of Dr Rice. How long can they embrace Pelosi and Hillary?
I don’t blame Michelle for being upset, but to her credit, and the other ladies also, they do not attempt to hide behind the fact that they are “just” women and therefore impervious to attacks like certain other women. (Sheehan, the 911 widows, etc).
Last question for Mssr Olbermann. Why do these women scare you? Is there some sort of repressed psychological problem maybe deriving from not getting enough attention from your mother? Or maybe the fact that none of these good looking women would date you in college?

LakeRuins on November 17, 2006 at 9:34 AM

That’s gonna leave a mark! Good job, Michelle. Oh, my fax machine was down this morning, so please have one of your minions resend my daily marching orders; as a stupid conservative thug I’m obviously lost without direction.

In fact, I’d go so far as to say that, that was precisely part of her message in this episode.

I’d like to close this comment by saying Michelle deserves to be on TV much more than Olberman. It’s a travesty that his show hasn’t been cancelled yet.

Allright, that’s it Michelle. You’ll have to run for office now.

Tom Blogical on November 17, 2006 at 10:17 AM

Come on, we all KNOW that to a Godless blinded liberal mind, lies are as good as truth as long as the end result is a win for liberalism or proponents thereof. Godless people can’t help but use lies to forward their points of view, it’s their nature to do so.

The funniest thing about a liberal liar though is that to them, what they say IS the “truth”, because they WANT to “believe” that it’s the truth, but not because it IS truth in and of itself, it’s just what they WANT to believe. It’s a sort of “reverse faith” thing to them, because they also mistake mere belief for faith.

Wait, so let me get this right…People on the right don’t like it when they are unfairly called terrorist supporters? They don’t appreciate it when someone whose actions they have no control over does something terrible and they get smeared and called terrorists simply because of their beliefs? Conservatives think it’s immoral, “outright lies” to claim a political party and it’s followers are terrorist supporters?

To quote my hero Walter,
“Well that’s fuc*ing interesting, dude.

Olbermann is full of it. The fact that he isn’t in gitmo is proof of said fact.

If even half of what he said was true, he’d be taking up space next to Jimmy Hoffa.

E L Frederick (Sniper One) on November 17, 2006 at 10:42 AM

Never watched Olby on TV before, and after hearing this, I don’t think I ever will. You are not a very good advertiser for him Michelle!

Kevin M on November 17, 2006 at 10:44 AM

Well JaHerer looks like ya got us. The right has been tarred with Timothy McVeigh, remind me again what his status is, and now a guy who sent powder in some envelopes to some folks. Meanwhile the left has some of the most virulent enemies of civilization quoting their speeches, citing their movies as fact and encouraging folks to support certain political candidates. So while the left supplies lawyers for mass murderers, Ramsey Clarke for Saddamm, Lynn Stewart for the Blind Sheik, etc, the folks on the right arrange for those who do wrong and wish to use conservative views as an excuse, to meet justice.
Yup don’t see no difference there. Moral equivalancy is a wonderful concept.

LakeRuins on November 17, 2006 at 10:47 AM

Michelle,

A forceful statement, indeed. Once worthy of you and of us, your readers.

Now you, Ann and Laura need to file suit against these two and NBC/GE for defamation.

I’m of the opinion that the broadcast clearly exceeded the high threshold required in Sullivan for public figures to sue for defamation. Their piece was not news broadcasting but a contrived attempt to accuse you, Ann and Laura of conspiracy to commit murder, and as accomplices to a felony, and was clearly done with malice aforethought.

Some acts are so egregious that the ones making them beg for a law suit, and in my humble, but untrained, opinion, this broadcast is one of them.

If you haven’t, find a good defamation lawyer and do what Sidney Blumenthal did to Drudge when Drudge accused him of being a wife-beater: Sue both of them for defamation asking for the big bucks. And include NBC/GE as a co-defendant.

My 2 cents.

georgej on November 17, 2006 at 10:48 AM

Love you, Michelle. The worst part is, the Olbermanns may be the most visible haters, but they are not the most destructive. The ones who come off as “nicer” or more (faux) “balanced” do far more damage to minds not aware of the real agenda. They are all over the “news”, entertainment industry and arts, and their “idealism” disguises a will-to-purge just as insidious and relentless as Olbermann’s. And as the last election revealed, they are still very, very. very powerful.

Halley on November 17, 2006 at 10:52 AM

This is SOO ludicrous. What is Michelle, all of 5′1″ and 99 lbs. soaking wet? Ooooh, she’s so scary and intimidating!
Yeah, right, almost as scary as Ana Carolina Reston. Oops –sorry! That’s right. Ana Carolina starved to death at 88 lbs. (BTW, Michelle, are you sure that you’re getting enough to eat? Don’t let Olby make you so angry that you forget to eat.)
Olby is the only “thug” that I can see in this situation –more specifically, the “weasel” variety of thug. He doesn’t really qualify as an “intimidating” thug — since he possesses an IQ that is roughly equal to that of a turnip.
I, for one, refuse to either submit or be intimidated by vegetable matter.

CyberCipher on November 17, 2006 at 10:56 AM

If you haven’t, find a good defamation lawyer and do what Sidney Blumenthal did to Drudge when Drudge accused him of being a wife-beater: Sue both of them for defamation asking for the big bucks. And include NBC/GE as a co-defendant.

Woohoo! get the ball rolling.

GoodBoy on November 17, 2006 at 10:57 AM

Lawsuits cloud the issue with senseless litigation, and besides, it’ll only give Oblerman more crap to spew about the repression of free speech and how the Patriot Act is baaaaaaad. I seriously doubt there’d be any way to successfully sue Oblerman and MSNBC over this. So while it sounds like a good idea, it really isn’t. Michelle did the appropriate thing, met his accusations with facts that disprove his assertions, fired back intellectually, and did so with poise, intelligence and class…three things that Keith sorely lacks.

Olberman is a liar, albeit an intelligent one, which makes him somewhat dangerous.

So actual liberal violence against military recruiters, conservative guest speakers inspired by the left into their acolytes and soldiers is free speech. Yet an unkind letter with a little talcum powder to soothe their rough edges belong on the list of high crimes. No wonder they are unhinged when Perceived violence is greater than actual violence.

Olberman could improve on his public speaking skills.

It would help him to attend Toastmasters International.

In the video clips it appears as if Olberman does not know what is going on related to the content of his report, and it appears as if he is winging it. It also appears as if he is uncomfortable and is attempting to appear to be intelligent, but feels tense and self conscious instead.

It is hardly a surprise that Malkin is on such a hissy defensive. The months of using the web to pedal her half truths and ad hominem nonsense have come back to bite her on the arse – big time.

Perhaps now she will see that actions have consequences and that she should clean up her act and drop the psuedo-news clap-trap.

eminuu on November 17, 2006 at 11:59 AM

I can’t help but be outraged at these latest slime tactics by an airhead for the left, Ms. Malkin. We DO have to push back and exactly for the reasons you give.

This has been going on at least since Reagan and very likely longer. When conservatives argue their positions, we’re being “divisive” and “partisan.” I have never, ever read a newspaper article that said the same thing about leftists and liberals.

If they’re concerned about “truculent,” shouldn’t they be at least as concerned about the blatant hate-Jew postings at DailyKOS? Or the calls for “molotov brigades” at Democratic Underground?

That to the side, Olbermann sounds more and more hysterically irrational with each passing day. This piece of puffed rice is going to wind up in an asylum somewhere if he doesn’t get psychiatric help.

I understand the desire and the need to return fire against idiocy from the likes of Olby and others but what are his ratings on cable news? Last I heard they were exceptionally LOW. Olby likes to target (figuratively of course) O’Reilly alot too and I don’t think O’Reilly even mentions him at all or very little at least. O’Reilly used to fire back at Al Franken but I think the fans pretty much told him to ignore Al as doing such gives Al much more publicity than he’s worth.

I quit viewing MSNBC long ago when it became apparent they couldn’t even face up their obvious bias. I would have more respect for them if they did just go ahead and promote themselves as a voice for liberals. They need to drop any pretext of balanced reporting or opinion.
At least Fox can maintain some kind of Fair and Balanced by at least allowing both sides on to state their views eventhough it seems that the liberals never address the question put to them but go off on to whatever the talking point of the day is. Example:

Fox: What do you think a solution to the flesh eating bacteria is?

Liberal talking head: It is very apparent that a phased withdrawal as quickly as possible from Vietnam, er Iraq is what is called for.

Viewer: ?????

Right on, Michele.

Olbermann is a creep and obnoxious. To hell with him.

Great Vent.
Notice the how punk refered to Laura as “Ingra-ham”? I wonder if he picked that up from Matt Lauer. Olby is just another useful idiot of the Leftist media.

Ladies & Gentlemen,
Let’s get ready to ru-u-u-u-u-u-mble. On today’s card, it’s the challenger Cheapshot-Lowblow Keith versus
Malkin the Mindanao Mauler.

Even before the first round bell Keith looks a little timid and the Mauler is ready for a brawl.

And folks, it’s over in the first round and the Mauler has dropped Cheapshot in a single roundhouse to the chin. And the crowd goes absolutely nuts cheering for the Mauler as she gets hoisted up by her trainer, Allahpundit.

Well, it has been said that Cheapshot had a glass jaw and there’s your proof.

Malkin keeps the title belt and as for Keith, he didn’t even make it to the ten count before the ref called in the house doctor. Cheapshot got carried out on a stretcher and the Mauler, well, what can we say. She’s one tough cookie.

I never knew who Keith Ogorman was till you guys at HA pointed him out.

Plus, as Rush has stated before, and I agree, we conservatives are not a dumb as we appear. Or would have the lefties think.

Mr. Ogorman seems to have a Crucifixion complex. For the lefties, that means, he can dish it out, but can’t take it.

Anyway, Ogorman is always there for a good laugh. I don’t see how anyone can take him seriously. Boorish reporting turns me off anyway.

Michelle, Anne, and Laura, need not defend themselves against this nonsense, and nonsense it is, the popularity contest is already won. And Ogorman isn’t even in the contest.

Most likely he, like a lot of other liberals, has never listened to her show or knew who she was. He was handed some talking points and tried to pronounce her name phonetically. It ain’t the first time. I have lost count how many times some liberal has come out criticising a conservative commentator and when asked point blank if they have ever listened, read or seen the person they are talking about respond by saying “No I haven’t and I don’t have to I have seen or heard enough about them at xyz.” They create their own reality and they are very big into group think and acceptance. If you can bear the pain go to the DU (Democratic Underground) web site and pick any topic or thread. After about 5 comments they are all parrotting the same talking points with individual variations but never so far out of the basic theme that they draw any critical responses. It does make it easy to browse the site to see how the Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry wing of the Democratic party thing about certain subjects. Oh yeah and no disagreement is allowed.

You do have to admit, it is kinda unfortunate having unhinged wingnuts with terrorist tendencies gushing love for you in public. Would have been another story had he been say, a Kerry or Pelosi supporter, don’t you think (unhinged etc…)?

On another point, as far as I’m concerned, it was just a matter of time before the left stopped calling you a shill for all things republican or Bush, and indeed started suggesting that you are in fact an enabler. Welcome to the margin Mrs. Malkin. I think you’ll find it was much more comfortable when you were able to pass yourself off as mainstream!

As combative as I am, this is one new feature I am absolutely going love. Looking forward to many more “Return Fire” Vents in the future.

“We need somebody to put rat poisoning in Justice Stevens’ creme brulee” (not a Malkin quote)

When is it a joke and when is it not a joke? Both sides are guilty here.

Jimmy Otool on November 17, 2006 at 3:34 PM

Looking forward to more of this sort of rant.

Rant good. Leftists bad.

Sic ‘em Michelle!
