The Annual Rupert Murdoch Lecture on Leadership honors the extraordinary leadership Rupert Murdoch has demonstrated in the business and philanthropic communities and, in particular, the pioneering role he has played in encouraging private investment in public education. The Rupert Murdoch Lecture on Leadership will be delivered once a year by an outstanding individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in his or her profession.

Mr. Murdoch is Chairman and Chief Executive of News Corporation, one of the world’s largest diversified media companies. News Corporation’s global operations include newspaper and magazine publishing on three continents; significant book publishing interests; major motion picture and television production and distribution operations; and television, satellite and cable broadcast operations in the United States, Europe, Asia, Australia and Latin America. Mr. Murdoch has been awarded the Companion of the Order of Australia (A.C.) for services to the media and to newspaper publishing in particular.
