I also detected a note of petty triumphalism in her tone when she emphasized how, even though Murtha lost the vote by a landslide, he’d still be [appointed] Defense Appropriations committee chairman. (Again, why mention it at all?)

Puritan, I hope that you’re right. That Pelosi and Friends will get caught up in the fight and forget their original aims. I fear that today’s little flap will only serve to show her/them where weakness exists, and ample time to address said issues.

I suppose the big question is: Will Nancy Pants let her ego derail the Donkey? That remains to be seen.
