Did you notice how Murtha spun Pelosi’s commitment to an ethical congress? He said that it was important to improve the perception of ethical behavior. This smacks of plausible deniability!

And hey, let’s the make the best of the situation: Pelosi & Murtha driving congress might be almost as entertaining as Theresa Hines-Kerry as First Lady!

Roll Call has stated that in early 2004, John Murtha “reportedly leaned on U.S. Navy officials to sign a contract to transfer the Hunters Point Shipyard to the City of San Francisco” and that “Laurence Pelosi, nephew of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, at the time was an executive of the company which owned the rights of the land.”

I’m so glad those “ethical” Democrats are in office now. I’m sure they’ll be quick to clean up the “corruption” they’ve been so keen to notice in the Republican party.

There are no good reasons for preferring Murtha to Hoyer as majority leader. There are also no good reasons for preferring Hoyer. There are FUN reasons for conservatives preferring that Murtha get the job, but Rush has already covered that ground.

So you are saying that if people were having rampant abortions in Iraq, Murtha would support the war? ;)

Islamists don’t believe in abortion, because it’s inhumane. And for the offense of even suggesting it, they will saw off your head with a dull, rusty knife! Aaiiiieeeeee!
