They didn’t listen to us on immigration, what makes anyone think that they’ll listen to us on this?

This party is down the tubes. They must have some ulterior motive for destroying the party, I wonder what it is.

The House Republicans DID listen to us on Immigration, and for their troubles they got the boot. Next year we will have the Congress that America voted for.

voiceofreason, what reason did the cut-and-run Republicans have for letting the House Republicans who blocked “Immigration Reform” be replaced? They sure didn’t side with Bush on the issue!

I don’t think Bush considers this election a loss.

I think the survival of the Republican party is of no interest to him, and I don’t think he cares what the conservative base thinks.

Apparently his gift to posterity will be open borders, and now that those pesky elections are out of the way, he’s working on it, full steam ahead.

I have no reason to vote R in ’08. If anyone starts collecting disenchanted conservatives for any particular third party, I’ll pay attention.

The Constitution Party fits that bill. Strict constructionists, hard core nationalists. If you find some of their positions hard to swallow, ask yourself if you’d rather vote for someone who stands to your right or your left.

I don’t agree with them 100% either, but I agree with them much more than I do with any current party, and their core principles are more than acceptable to me.

I Blame Conye West!

Steele could have shown that “naturally conservative” black folks are the demographic worth winning. Fierce loyalty and reluctance to change could’ve meant black votes for decades.

Republicans have become wimps. They let the Demos beat up on the President, intimidated by the marches, and outrageous insults. Instead of waging war on the Democrats for their attacks, state by state, they let them take control with essentially “no name” democrats. It’s not like they pulled their “all stars” off the bench.

The least we could have done is get rid of Kennedy and Bird.

We wondered what the aftermath would be if the Democrats lost both Senate and House. Well we are now seeing the other side of the coin. Total disarray!

We are not going to regain our footing anytime soon.

For some reason, when a bunch starts making big mistakes, they just continue doing it until someone with enough clout stands up and says “enough”. Bush being the lead Republican would have to stand up and speak this himself, instead of using the “trust the adviser” and “lead by committee” process that he normally uses.

So long as Conservative values win, I could care less about the fate of the Republican Party, but if the Republican Party wants to make headway they’ll have to stop making bone-headed decisions.

Let’s be honest, the Republican list of potential Presidential candidates outside of Duncan Hunter is lame at best and now their choice for party chairman is lame as well.

Their boat has sprung a leak and it’s like nobody sees the duct tape stirring them in the face.
