Keeping it all in the family:

U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore’s campaign is quickly becoming a family business.

Not only does the Milwaukee Democrat have her sister Brenda on the campaign payroll to the tune of nearly $40,000 annually, as we reported last year, but Moore now has brought on her 27-year-old son, Sowande Omokunde, also known as Supreme Solar Allah.

Recent campaign reports show Moore, who was easily re-elected to a second term, paid her son $1,500 in October for political consulting. Omokunde told others that he was the campaign’s deputy field director.

Neither the congresswoman nor her sister returned calls Friday.

As you may recall, Omokunde was one of four Democratic staffers who pleaded guilty to misdemeanors for slashing tires on 25 vans hours before Republican Party officials were to use them to drive voters to the polls on election day 2004. In April, Omokunde was sentenced to four months in jail and fined $1,000 for his role in the much-publicized caper.

But he obviously had a soft landing. How many other criminals can walk out of jail and into a job on a congressional campaign payroll?

What a touching story of family togetherness—Gwen and her son, Supreme Solar Allah. Sounds like something off Lifetime or something.

They could walk out of jail and over to Minnesota. THAT family has many “openings”. Just wear a green bowtie so they know you’re on the team.

$1,500? I wonder how many tires he slashed this time.

At least they still make quality beer in her district.

Milwaukee’s Best (AKA “THE BEAST”) still the preferred beer of college freshman.

Mmmmmmmm Beast.

Let’s get Allah to smite him!

A life of crime never pays $1500 per month.

Phfffftt

My high school guidence counselor was full of $hit.

Another interesting tidbit for you out-of-towners; when Cynthia McKinney is re-retired, Gwen Moore will take over as the chief crybaby in the House. She has a long, sad history of throwing temper tantrums that would shame 2-year-olds from her time in the Wisconsin State Senate.

The entire Moore family makes me thankful that I got redistricted out of the 4th Congressional (held at the time by Jerry “The Drunk” Kleczka) and into the 1st (and the welcoming arms of Paul Ryan).

As for the number of tires slashed this time, he and his cohorts were allegedly on GPS monitoring. Of course, that was done under the auspices of the outgoing ‘Rat DA, which dropped the ball on the prosecution in the first place.

I could make a joke out of that, but it would be an insult to the Sun.

Check it out. Sound like a real fun bunch.

Hum, I wonder if they bought any property through Rezko. Maybe he made his way up north. After all, he has “helped” Blago, Obama, and Gutierrez.

Hey Dems, clean out your own house before you start pointing fingers.

Hey, Michelle posted this! I was expecting it to be Supreme Solar Allahpundit.

…everybody outght to follow the link to appreciate MM’s public service…actually spend some time *LOOKING* at the faces of these morons. Slashing tires…attacking *CARDBOARD* cutouts…throwing salad dressing…these guys are the bread-and-butter of the Democratic Party!

Ms. Moore’s “response” to her son’s “hijinks”?

From Wikipedia:

Sowande Ajumoke Omokunde…was charged with a felony in connection with the event on January 24, 2005, but agreed, on January 20, 2006, to plead no contest in exchange for a sentencing recommendation of restitution and probation. However, on April 26, 2006, Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Michael Brennan threw out the plea deal and sentenced Omokunde to serve four months in prison and to pay $2,305 in fines and restitution. In response, Moore said, “I love my son very much. I’m very proud of him. He’s accepted responsibility.”

…”accepted responsibility”…so did Tookie.

…black congresswoman…Hastings…Jefferson down in the Big Easy…all safe seats…as Nagin would say, “chocolate” seats. Malfeasance be damned….

Democracy has its Achilles Heel….

None yet; the House ‘Rats have more than their quota of crybaby minority women, and Gwen Moore is on the bottom of that totem pole.

We know the dems want to give voting rights to felons, so this must be their get-out-of-jail-to-vote drive. Milwaukee politics is starting to sound a lot like New Jersey politics, or at the very least la cosa nostra…the family……..

It sure feels like the Balistreri family, which ran Milwaukee back in the day, has come back and instead of running numbers, they’re running politics. The only fortunate thing is that, like the US attorney back in the ’80s (can’t remember his name off-hand), current US Attorney Steve Biskupic is willing to use whatever tool is at hand to chip away at the mob’s Dems’ death-grip.
