You would think that anyone that has been impeached as a Judge would not be able to hold office but there are so many crooks in Congress that it has become normal.

IMHO-The American people should demand some standards for holding office besides a mug shot and a rap sheet.

Hardly anyone’s talking about the other choice she’s signalling–on the House Intelligence Committee. Pelosi, in what looks like a fit of personal pique, will apparently pass over Rep. Jane Harman, the Committee’s ranking member. Which leaves Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida to chair it, if seniority carries.
That would be impeached corruptocrat Alcee Hastings, removed from the federal bench for accepting a bribe back in 1989. Apparently unfit for work in the private sector, Hastings went from being impeached by a Democrat Senate to getting elected to a then-Democrat House. And now he’ll head up one of our most strategic committees in the House, while we’re at war.

At the risk of revealing my total stupidity, I have to ask this question: why is it LEGAL for someone who commits bribery as a federal judge to hold ANY seat in Congress, let alone be appointed to head a committee like the House Intelligence Committee?? Do you at least need a security clearance? I’m convinced hopeful that I am missing some very important piece of information. If there is anyone besides f-tard

I have mixed feelings about this. I do not like either Hoyer or Murtha but a Hoyer win would be a defeat for Pelosi and that is a good thing.

Since conservatives have a Borg hive thought process, I must be defective. I am unable to access the group thought stream to understand why enlightened progressives would choose to troll conservative sites. I do not feel angry to anything specific or have BDS; so, my withdrawal symptoms from being disconnected from the group thought must be far worse than I can tell. If I can just crawl over to the radio and get Michael Medved or Hugh Hewitt perhaps I can reestablish the Hive thinking process…
