Chickenhawk no more, eh?
As you might have heard, Bill’s shipping out in December to embed with the Corps in the wild western Iraqi province of Anbar. As of two months ago, there were fully nine reporters embedded in country. Or, half a reporter per province. And people wonder why the coverage reeks.
He’ll be filing dispatches for the Washington Examiner while he’s over there and maybe shooting a Vent or two, time permitting. But between the communications equipment, the body armor, and everything else, the trip’s going to cost him some serious coin. That’s where you come in: we talk a lot about media bias, but talking about it is one thing and helping to correct it is another. If you want to help balance the scales, please consider donating to Bill’s trip fund. The PayPal button is at the bottom of his post.

Too bad more people like Bill don’t do this. Godspeed! I thought the number of journalists in Iraq was intentionally limited – or maybe that was just something from the grapevine. Anyway, I look forward to reading about his take on the situation there. It should start becoming very interesting as soon as the “phased withdrawal” begins.

I pray he will be safe.
Then he can come back and be mean to me some more…;-)

I predict the Corp kicks him out in a week for belligerance.

Hot Air is not on his blog roll. . . What gives?
Michelle is though! That’s good enough for me!

I never wanted journalists anywhere near my tank company; however in Bill’s case, I would make an exception. Remember, take care of the troops and they will take care of you. May he be protected and return home safe.

Donation made. I wish him the best for some great opportunities and a safe return.

The Washington Examiner is a great newspaper. First of all, it is free and delivered to everybody’s house. Best of all: It’s conservative!
It started up last year, seemed to be liberal, then apparently did a 180 and became conservative, shocking liberals. The Washington Examiner backed all the Republican candidates in the election.
Washington now has 2 conservative newspapers and one liberal.

I made a mistake in my previous post. I meant ‘belligerence’, not ‘belligerance’. (h/t Bill).

I would say it was a ballsy move. If I had a filthy mouth like some other people who will remain nameless.
