How come Harry Reid is not the list?

The LA times has been writing for years about Harry Reid and his illegal real estate deals in Nevada.

His latest is the earmark for a bridge to the property he just bought before the bridge got approved, just like the shopping center rezoning in Las Vegas. Of course lets not forget the land swap deal in North Lake Tahoe or the deal with Boeing in Las Vegas.

I am sure that CREW just overlooked his 20 year history of being a crook.

Oh, and they probably forgot about his involvment in the Prison funds that went missing in Carson City.

Not to derail the derailment, but getting back on track…I have to wonder if Pelosi is operating on the ‘It takes a thief to catch a thief’ principal? She will root out corruption by putting the corrupt into positions of authority so they can use their experience at corruption to weed it out!

I seriously doubt that Pelosi gave it that much thought, she’s heading for a run at the White House in ‘08 and doesn’t want to get caught up in any possible trainwrecks. This is Murtha’s last shot and he doesn’t have further political ambitions.

The reason they attack more Republicans than Democrats is because Republicans are more likely to be corrupt since they are the ones in power (correction, we’re), and it doesn’t do you much good to bribe members of the minority that can’t really help you get legislation passed. They did name about 4 Dems overall. Waters, Murtha, Mollohan and Jefferson.

You’re dead on with that observation, B Moe. I bet the security experts told the politicians the exact same thing but got overruled. That should never happen, but unfortunately it does. Scumbags like Hastings shouldn’t be in the same zip code as classified material.
