In a statement, Mr. Kofi Annan said it was clear that religion is not at the root of current tensions.

“The problem is not the Koran or the Torah or the Bible,” Mr. Annan said. “The problem is never the faith, it is the faithful and how they behave towards each other.”

The problem is with imbeciles like Kofi Annan making idiotic statements like the one above, and the mind-set required to concieve, much less believe, such drivel.

When a school of religious belief teaches that killing is good, that 72 virgins await for those who blow themselves up along with as many other human beings as possible, that infidels should either convert or be slaughtered, it is SO CLEAR that religion COULDN’T POSSIBLY be the cause of “current tensions.”

What I wrote earlier, which gave rise to this response, might’ve looked a little raw. I’ll take that on-board.

Unless you are in about your forties, I was in uniform when you were in diapers. I stayed for quite a while. My wife’s retiring from her stint in uniform none too sone…but, not before having served in Bosnia during “Clinton’s Air Show” in Bosnia.

…and, I’ve got two boys in uniform now. The defense of this country is…well…the “family biz”….

They send their women into the teeth of Israeli forces to steal their men out of jail…and they count on the Israelis to “do the right thing”. We limit the rules of engagement all over the world, and our boys get whacked, trying to “do the right thing”.

We get all gooey over posed pics out of Beirut, naked numbers killed by their neighbors in Baghdad, rumors of violence in Afganistan…and then we have theoretically-minded little political bottom-feeders like you reminding us ad nauseum about “no WMDs”, how “Saddam didn’t have anything to do with 9/11″…you’re ready to climb on the bandwagon to condemn better men than yourselves for things they do *in combat*. You are all afire to “do the right thing” the way your snot-nosed little comicbook worldview dictates that it *should* be…regardless of how it *is*.

I don’t want Arabs dead any more than you do. Then again, I don’t think you really care…as long as you win little argument points with these nasty “fascist” conservatives on this safe little discussion board….

Settle back into your narrow, comfortable little world, where the latest Hollywood release and the latest version of “Grand Theft Auto” may be the closest thing you ever get not only to danger, but to physical exercion.

I know what makes these guys run. Unfortunately, I know what it’ll take to stop ‘em if they can’t control themselves.

What on earth are you saying? The bloodthirsty are too outrageous to actually have any sort of power? Dear girl, the bloodthirsty have power in many places. We’re looking for something with which to counter them, but all we ever manage to elect are p-ssies.

Anybody who loves ANYBODY must prefer to fight them in THEIR cities and not let them bring the fight to OUR cities. Libs, do you have husbands, wives, “partners”, moms, dads, daughters or sons whom you DON’T wanna see die in a car bombing attack on Main Street USA?
