From what I saw, I’d be thinking in a more opposite direction. Seemed like a bunch of moderates/swing-voters simply kicked out some ‘RINOs’ and threw in some ‘DINOs’ instead. Nevertheless, simply changing the dynamics of the house/senate from R to D could have some far less ‘moderate’ aftereffects..

They stated clearly what I’ve been saying since the bad news started coming in last Tuesday. This was not a vote in favor of liberalism, but a repudiation of the squishy RINOs. America wants strong patriotic leaders, not traitors.

If we don’t want to lose the White House in 2008, we need a true conservative candidate. Someone who honestly respects the Constitution, and takes an immovable stand on border security, national identity, and foreing policy. Someone who will only nominate originalists for federal judgeships, who will work to limit federal government and restore a sense of states’ rights. Someone who will not pass the buck on bad legislation, who will not ask a subordinate to fall on his sword in a show of appeasement.

This gives me some creedence to me that Bush,Rove et al threw this election on purpose,taking the chance that the sane people will see in the narrow window we have in this ghastly clash that the Dems are insane traitorous fools,while we still have GWB at the helm to prevent any horrid attacks.The GOP is looking at the big pic,08 will be much more important than this election cycle.

As a psychological defense mechanism it’s probably necessary to hope that there’s a chance Dems will “grow up” and accept the responsibility that comes with their new power, but – c’mon, Tammy, we know who they are. You don’t commit treason (or cheer while others do) for 5 years and then suddenly “grow up”.

Even in the wildest best-case scenario – that the Dems will attempt to act maturely about the war (it’s so ridiculous I can barely write it) – the fact remains that they don’t have the intelligence needed even if they tried.

Conservatives will be making an error by giving a kind of moral equivalence to the “our party” “their party” view. It use to be like that in American politics – two legitimate sides. Not any more. The two legitimate sides are within the GOP, and the Dems now only represent destruction.

The Drama Queen, Sullivan, has decided to make us all ill with his latest “insights”.

The events of last week in America have an almost Shakespearean quality to them. It’s like some ghastly conflation of Richard II’s doom-laden “Down, down, I come” and Richard III’s “winter of our discontent”. Richard II is how Bush would like the world to see him — a king of noble motives brought low by injustice and fate. Richard III is . . . well, ask Karl Rove, the hunch in W’s back.

I could care less if Keith Ellison were a Muslim, honestly. I care more that he rallies to the support of the Vice Lords whenever they execute a police officer and says he’s going to “stand up to Bush”. Really, Mr. Ellison? How will you do that when you’re already a policial laughingstock? And the people here don’t care one iota about what he actually stands for because they’re too hyped that he’s “the first Muslim in the congress” and that might cheese off their Lutheran parents. Not to mention one of our MN congresswomen, (Michelle Bachman – who won thank God,) was taken apart by the media for being Evangelical. What would Robin Robinson have said if people started chanting “Jesus is Lord!” at her victory party? She was actually asked about her beliefs by another reporter here at a debate. The double standards are astounding.

Good program, but . . .

I cringe when I hear or read about Walid Shoebat referred to as a muslim. Granted he was born and raised as a muslim, but he has declared himself a Christian convert. When others refer to him as currently muslim, it appears as an acknowledgment of the eternity clause of islam. . .even if done inadvertantly.

To help incapacitate the threat of islamic justice against apostates , wouldn’t it be helpful to overtly acknowledge and support people who make the free choice of conscience as an every day, socially acceptable event to render the lens of sharia inconsequential?

Yeah, I live in the 5th District of Minneapolis. With the exception of about 4 of my neighbors, I’m surrounded by people whose parents didn’t give them enough attention. On the local Fox Network here, (channel 9) they had a reporter at the Keith Ellison victory camp and everyone was chanting “Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar” and then our local reporter tool, Robin Robinson said, “That was Keith Ellison proving that this election was not about religion.” WTF does she think “Allah Akbar” means?! “Hip hip hurray”?! But as a former Virginian who now lives in Minnesota I’ve noticed something about the people here; they are like middle children. They go further and further out there just for the sake of any kind of attention. For example – you come here and people will say, “Ders da Foshay Tower. It was once the tallest building in da midwest.” You’re thinking, “who cares?” or “Once upon a time we had da biggest ball a twine up here.”… so? And they constantly knock Southerners -constantly. They have to feel like they are superior to someone because they don’t get enough national attention. So of course now it’s going to be, “Oh ya! We had da first Muslim guy in congress! Yah!” Nevermind that he’s a gang-loving thug/freak with a bad reputation. Ugh. It’s very frustrating. Do I stay and try to change these idiots or do I just cash it in and move to Washington County?

The last few seconds summed up my opinion on this whole election. They have 2 years to show us if they are sane or insane (for real, not just in words anymore). If they are insane, this will show it. And I think they will show it very quickly.
