Harold Ford as DNC chair?

Democrats, putting minorities in power when they have to:

The candidate being floated to replace Dean? Harold Ford.

Says James Carville, one of the anti-Deaniacs, “Suppose Harold Ford became chairman of the DNC? How much more money do you think we could raise? Just think of the difference it could make in one day. Now probably Harold Ford wants to stay in Tennessee. I just appointed myself his campaign manager.”

Hat tip to Odub, who is against the idea because he thinks Dean did all the work in the ‘06 elections. Bwhahaha.

If Hillary Clinton – someone I know Carville supports – becomes our next president it will be thanks to the foundation of our party that Howard Dean is building.

SURELY he jests?

That would be delicious. The nutroots won’t stomach him for a second, and yet if both party chairs are black guys there’s going to be diverse, tolerant racial slurs flying like Karl Rove’s evil monkeys. This is like giving rhetorical dynamite and idiot-capable lighters to drunken morons.

I LOVE this idea. And Ford, when he’s not doing something stupid, is a relatively sane guy.

Hitlary needs Dean out of the way. I guess the Clintonites see Ford as being more manageable.

Careful, Danno. Yer dangerously close to plantation talk, there. …And you know what I’m talking about. /hillary off

Well, if marginalizes Dean I am for it. I detest Ford but then who could they possibly get that I don’t detest?

Replace Dean? With Ford? Sure! I would love to see Mr. Dean on the 08 campaign trail. A gift from the gods.

I certainly hope not! The Republicans may have pissed away all of their advantages, but Howard Screamin’ Dean is still the best thing that ever happened to them. Hopefully he’ll stick around.

The DNC had a chance to put a black man in charge before but they threw him under the bus to put Clinton’s boy Terry in charge instead.
