Soothsayer may be a little over the top, but I bet there is a lot of truth in some of the things he's postulating.
Can't put my finger on it, but there is something not kosher with the way things have been going down in the Republican leadership and with GWB in particular lately.
Time for the young turks to step forward and take over. Guys like Jeff Flake and Tom Tancrendo(?) and those with balls and common sense need to be the face of the REAL Republican party.
See you later George, and by the way, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Also, don't give me that pansy ass wave of yours' when you leave. It's going to be a rough two years.

it’s not Bush’s fault- it’s the Cut and Run Conservative’s fault! NTWR
The GOP gave zero dollars to Graf. It undercut every new anti-amnesty candidate. Bush calls Minutemen vigilantes. Bush has the power to control borders now. Bush personally took out a conservative to keep Specter on his Immigration bill. Bush installed Mehlman the ‘ jobs Americans won’t , don’t, can’t do’ mouthpiece to run the GOP

Just because you’re paranoid it doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you. Pablo
Yep

George didn’t THROW the election; he along with the GOP leadership MANIPULATED the election. They poisoned some wells, abandoned some and let some others get away with shameless promotion with GOP support. All of the well springs that were manipulated into office have one thing in common. They are Globalization supporters – Speakup
Amen

Almost all the R candidates who ran with the minutemen position lost Scott
To run anti-amnesty-GOP under Bush means the DEMs and the GOP both work to take you out. The GOP concentrated on the weak ones

Support for Minuteman position == losing the election. I, for one, think W. likes to win. CyberCipher
Arlen Specter is holding on to life by a thread. If he dies a DEM will be appointed. Bush preserved Specter anyway for his Immigration Bill

I lve in Texas and hispanics here are voting about 40% republican Scot
If true why bring in a 60 percent DEM bloc with the highest birth rate next to Mormons?

I watched the Bush news conference. When they brought up immigration Bush acted like he hadn’t thought of that one. For the first time I thought I saw him lie. I had a similar reaction as Gilchrist. My BP soared. The trust is gone. It is no longer policy but honesty I question. I felt totally screwed at that moment.

At the risk of sounding crazy, the same thought has gone through my head, especially considering Bush has come out swinging against us with things like his immigration bill.

I don't really believe it, but I don't completely disbelieve it either.

The Lord calls them sons of BELIAL which is another name for SATAN. He also calls them an Abomination which I’m sure you know is the worst condemnation for anything in the entire Bible!

As I said and so say again. Anyone offended by my use of the word Faggot, was not part of the “intended demographic” in the first place,

Soothsayer on November 10, 2006 at 12:18 AM

Do you follow all of the Bible, or just a few key points you like?

Paul taught that it is better to reach out everyone, regardless of their actions:

1 Corinthians 9:19-23

Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

What do you think Paul meant here? Do you think Paul was saying that he would call "the weak", weak? Do you think that's how he preached, by being an intolerant donkey????

The Great Commission calls us to go out and reach EVERYONE, not just those whose lifestyles you find to be righteous.

But none of those Bible references matter. So long as you talk as you do, without caring how people will be affected by what you have to say, you're not showing God. You are only showing your lack of knowledge of God.

1 John 4:7-8
Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

And I'll just assume you know the "love your neighbor" scripture.

I think it will be important now to lobby the Democrats on this issue. They will want to hold on to power in 2008 and if they hear strongly from constituents about opposition to amnesty they may defy Bush's plan also.

Bush's actions and recent comments (even not-so-recent comments) speak for themselves on this issue. You guys can debate all you want but he flat out has told us all just how he feels about immigration, and what he intends to do about it. Making excuses for him at this point is just silly in my opinion.

Did he actually throw the election on purpose? Probably not.

Is he happy that he will get his amnesty abomination through Congress? You bet!

They’re mostly very traditional catholics. When the dems over reach on gay marriage, completely unrestricted late term abortion, etc they’re going to hit a brick wall in that demographic.

President Bush missed a big opportunity by not closing the borders immediately after 9/11, using the "war" as an excuse if he needed one, but I don't think he did.
It is a wartime measure. And I'm not just talking the Mexican border.
The Millenium Bomber tried to come in from Canada to bomb LA.

I want immigration reform and tight border controls for 2 reasons:
1.) We are at war and we've got to know whos' here and make it a whole lot tougher for jihadis to sneak in via Mexico or Canada.
(In addition, I'd like to see us be a whole lot tougher regarding who gets a visa to fly in here, too. Mohammed Atta and the Gang of 19 all got into this country legally on visas, even though more than one of them were on "terror watch lists" somewhere in our intelligence agencies.)
2.) Our taxes--state and local--are going nowhere but up, providing "free" health care and education and the other welfare for these folks. Mine (city of Dallas) are sky high, mainly because of the county Hospital costs. LA has had 8 or more hospitals/emergency rooms close their doors because of the unpaid costs of treating illegals.
Sure, they're cheap labor, but we pick up on the costs in other ways.

True - his books were well done on the subject and very informative. Not only us, but Europe as well. Food for thought.

lf you don’t throw the FAGGOTS out of your party they will continue to erode your already corrupt morals until you end up debating the meaning of marriage like the stupid demoNcrats!

This is your first and last warning: I don't want slurs of any type in our comments. If you can't abide by that rule, kindly take your business elsewhere.

If I can steer around the faggot roadblock for moment and get back to the original post, though I do not think for a second that President Bush 'threw' the election-no-one has that kind of power-I do see some benefits to the Dems being in charge of the Senate. For five years they've been dragging their heels, refusing to help in the War on Terror. Now, they are in charge of maintaining funds for the offensive. If they try to fold our tents and 'cut and run' they are doomed along with the rest of us. In effect, after proclaiming themselves Patriots for subverting our war effort, they now have to become Hawks. The Pacifistic Ideal melts away when people are shooting at you or bombing your cities. The weapons have been put in their hands-if they toss down those weapons and refuse to fight, everyone will see the error of putting them back in power. Karl Rove is STILL a genius!

Fair enough. You are spot on in your Scripture and do have a valid point.

Sometimes, though it's not so much what we say as how we say it, demographic or not.

You have good points and a lot of fire. If you look at your last posts, you yourself have used other ways to say the same things.

The Lord spoke the truth and was not popular, either - especially around some of their set. While He is not exclusively Republican or Democrat, He is the truth.

Which, I think is all anyone asks. Your voice is a good one - stay with it.

OK - you want a word that says it all and yet doesn’t offend as much? Here it is:
Not a war. This is why I call the Democrats … “Nancyboys”

Sorry Em, but in my book anybody offended at me calling a Fag a fag is going to hell anyway! BTW the Lord was much stronger and offensive when he called them "Sons of Belial"

Judges 19:22
Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.

The Lord calls them sons of BELIAL which is another name for SATAN. He also calls them an Abomination which I'm sure you know is the worst condemnation for anything in the entire Bible!

As I said and so say again. Anyone offended by my use of the word Faggot, was not part of the "intended demographic" in the first place,

Soothsayer- If you’re this angry, why don’t you go do something that will calm you down and then come back. Because if you keep leaving posts like that you will get banned. And also the dhimmis at kos and du will use posts like yours against us.

If I get banned for speaking the truth so be it. I know how to start a blog, it 's not rocket science, which I also happen to know. There is nothing in my posts but the God's honest truth so the Dhimmis and Kos and whoever else are welcome to use it. If you didn't elect a worthless piece of RINO dropping, you wouldn't have this problem.

And for the record, I believe EVERY FRIGGIN’ WORD that came out of the Faith Based Initiatives Guy, who said the neocons were laughing at the religious right and making fun of them. Their apostacy is evidenct in whom they have selected for all their staffing positions, it looks like the friggin’ VILLAGE PEOPLE.

Yes, but without the talent.

Singing-wise, that is.

Their apostasy has become evident in their actions. Before long, there will be a transnational highway from Mexico to Canada rolling through the US, there will be no effective borders, we will all have to learn "Spanglish" and learn how NAFTA, CAFTA, and FTAA has improved our lives.

Sort of like that Peanuts strip where Charlie Brown and Linus are talking about the world. Charlie Brown asks Linus if he intends to get educated so that he may become smarter like the rest of the world.

Linus replies, "No, Charlie Brown, I intend to bring them (the world) down to my level."
