Lamont just conceded, but I have a question…with only 21% of the results reported, he’s down by about 7 points. Huh? Why concede so early? And what happens if the 79% remaining boost Lamont over Liebs. What happens then?

I suspect he will un-conceed like Gore did in 2000.

Not that I’m unhappy about Lamont quitting, but what’s the point of doing so when there is any shred of hope remaining?

Yeah, this bugs me too. The numbers posted on CNN and Fox both show Steele ahead but they’re calling it for Cardin. You’d think that after all the problems with exit polling the past three major elections they’d have learned to be a bit more careful. Really very annoying.

I’m not saying he won’t still win (and face it, MD is pretty blue), but calling it based only on that data would set of my skeptic-o-meter.

What Senator Bob Menendez is saying behind your back (illegal immigration, ethnic solidarity) Great, we in NJ will have a senator more interested in his ethnicity than in his state. Someone who would rather represent his “Latino brothers and sisters” than New Jerseyans. If Kean had said something like “my white brothers and sisters, we can influence this election” it would be all over the MSM, and he’d be attacked by everyone who supports (or doesn’t have a problem with) Menendez’s comments.
