Clinton’s joke

posted at 1:54 pm on November 7, 2006 by Bryan

I just heard about this from a friend of mine. It’s…typical of how the Democrats see serious issues:

The Big He was stumping for Webb yesterday, and here’s his big laugh line.

Clinton mixed levity and satire to needle Republicans on the campaign trail. Their attacks on Democrats sound like this, he said: “They are going to tax you into the poor house. On the way to the poor house, you’ll meet a terrorist on every street corner. When you try to run away from the terrorist, you’ll trip over an illegal immigrant!” The joke brought a roar of approval.

Let’s unpack this. Taxes–a joke. Fair enough I guess. But terrorism–a joke? And illegal immigration–a joke? Therefore, national security–a joke. And then there’s the last line:

The joke brought a roar of approval.

Of course it did. Democrats just don’t take the issue of our time seriously, at all.

Who is his joke writer–James Brolin?

Democrats?

Dumb-o-crats, I say!

I’m not great fan of the Republican party, but given a choice between shite in one hand (the Dumb-o-crats) and a sack of shite in the other (the Republicans), I’ll take the sack any day.

If I can’t avoid the stink of it all, I’d rather keep my hands somewhat clean.

Actually, it sounds more like something Nasrallah would write. As they say in Arkysaw, ‘hardee har har’.

bloggless on November 7, 2006 at 2:01 PM

Does anyone else recall him using the same line sometime last week?

These Dhimmicrats are definitely not a laughing matter. Seems they show a little more of themselves than they indend every time they attempt to “make a funny”. Keep it up lib.s. Joke yourselves into oblivion. Yuck it up!!!

hillbillyjim on November 7, 2006 at 2:05 PM

Of course it’s a joke to them! Bush is the only real danger. Get rid of Bush and all the problems go away. The Left is in critical need of a serious dose of reality and perspective.

If the Dhimmi’s Democrats win, the terrorists will strike unfettered. Then the Dhimmi’s Democrats will try to appease the Islamofascists by offering up America’s Jews as a “peace offering”. As a Jew, I’m more than slightly concerned.

This “peace offering” will only whet the Islamofascits’ appetites. So who would be next on the altar to the terrorists?

If Democrats take both houses:

BE AFRAID! BE VERY AFRAID!

And the reaction he received is a surprise because…

Stock up on Ammo and move to Iraq… it will be safer there.

Yeah, if we talk about national security or their lack of seriousness on the subject, we are accused of fear mongering.

That’ll shame us out of bringing up the topic …

that was kinda funny

Bill Clinton – a joke.

The joke brought a roar of approval.

That was the scariest part of hearing that speech. The derisive laughter from the audience. They really do not believe we face a jihadist threat. I hope history remembers this complete fecklessness well.

“First the Saturday people. Then the Sunday people.”

Hmmm… sounds more like the Democratic Platform:

“They are going to tax you into the poor house” because Dems tax EVERYTHING;

“you’ll meet a terrorist on every street corner” because Dems want to retreat from Iraq and give terrorists free reign in country; and

“you’ll trip over an illegal immigrant” because they don’t want any border enforcement.

Proves security is just one big Joke to the Dems! No wander we had 911, Bubba couldn’t even keep up with the nuclear football let alone watch for terrorist. Pre-911 mentality in control will be the end of us all!

Drtuddle on November 7, 2006 at 3:23 PM

If Bush had said it, it would have been funny, funny ’cause it’s true.

NTWR on November 7, 2006 at 3:42 PM

“They are going to tax you into the poor house. ”

What a bizarre thing for a notorious Democrat taxer to say.
This just demonstrates Clinton will tell any lie, no matter how disconnected from reality, if it suits his cause.

I know Bubba meant that Republicans think there are illegals everywhere, but did Bubba imply that Mexicans are lazy because to trip on them wouldn’t that cause you to visualize a guy on the ground. Like a bum or a wino? I think he should apologize to the Amigos! Damn Gordo Norte Americanos!
