I find it funny that supposedly open-minded liberals like Grebrook always assume that is what Republicans mean when they say “San Francisco Values”.

First of all, is the average Republican voter for the so-called gay rights agenda? No. But, if you look at the returns from this election, Gay Marriage Bans passed by +70% in states where democrats were elected by wide margins against republicans. So, it appears that, quite likely, the gay agenda is something that is not popular on BOTH sides of the political aisle.

Secondly, there are plenty of other policies in San Francisco that your average Republican cares very strongly about from anti-gun laws, extremely pro-abortion laws, job-killing tax policies and development restriction laws (that have the added benefit of making San Francisco one of the most homogenous cities in the entire country….in spite of their liberal openess for ALL people).

As I said, there are plenty of things that conservatives object to regarding “San Francisco Values”. I find it quite interesting that the only one you can see is ‘homosexuals’. In my mind that says more about you than it does about Republicans.

The thought of us losing in Iraq pains me as well. I would rather see a stable democracy there as well. Maybe if Bush and Rumsfeld had fought the war like men instead of like mice, we would be on our way to having one. Gone are the FDRs and TRumans that had the stomach for such things. Gone are the generals like Sherman and Patton who knew how to make the enemy afraid. Every general that has disagreed with Bush and Rumsfeld has been replaced. Moreover, they haven’t supported the troops with relaxed rules of engagement and support in the press. No, it’s been the exact opposite. I’m looking for the silver lining, that’s all.

Two years of stalemate and gridlock before the next Presidential election and the removal of these Dummycrat freshman. Legitimate America is disappointed, but not surprised. Except where the Dummycrats were the super-majority, every race was within single digits (which means, for you liberal morons out there, a protest vote against Republicans, not FOR Democrats).

America endures liberals because of its strength. The problem remains the liberals continue to weaken America — the very foundation that provides these pond scum a forum from which to launch their anti-American screed.

This was not Democratic “victory”. This election was nothing more than reminding the Republicans “accountability” is not a campaign catch phrase.

He and his party do not care about terrorism striking at home. Forget the NSA intercepting terrorist plans to strike America. Forget about tracking where terrorist money goes. Forget about replacing worn out military equpment. Carter made sure that the military was gutted. So did Clinton. And so will Pelosi/Reid.

And Americans will die.

They need the money for social programs, don’tchaknow.

And they’ll find a way to blame it all on Bush (and the Republicans) the way the did in 1977 and 1993.

We face Al Qaeda (who as we all know are overjoyed in the Democratic win) coming here, because Pelosi/Reid, et. al., are not willing to face them over there. If a city dies under a mushroom cloud, the Brownshirts like Grebrook will blame Bush for “making them mad” by invading Iraq.

We face higher taxes, gun control, Kyoto, an increased level of terrorism at hime, and a much worse future.

And all Grebrook can think about is Kristalnacht.

I’d like to point out that I still blame Bush for all of this, as well as Republicans like John McCain. Republicans who we trusted to uphold our principles and have done absolutely nothing but bring our Party down.

If I had my way I would impeach him myself … but of course I would not replace him with a liberal.

The immigration issue is a complete joke and it will now get worse. There’s really no hope on the horizon.

I would love to see Mitt Romney as President … but I believe this group of liberals will use the next two years to make that completely impossible.

You’re wrong. I voted for a conservative Republican in the House. He’s hardly a communist/socialist fellow traveler.

I don’t understand the Coast culture (or lack thereof). I suspect provincial Romans thought the same thing about the goings on in Rome. I also don’t understand how I can care more about what happened in New York and Washington, D.C. on 9/11 than many of the people who live there. I’ve never even been to New York, don’t really care for their values (or lack thereof), yet every time I see those towers falling I get ill and want to prosecute the war against the terrorists with renewed vigor. Go figure.

There is a growing coterie of conservative democrats who are pro-life, pro-gun, and pro-military. Some of them got elected today, hence the coming meltdown of the democrat party. That small number might be enough to derail the Pelosi/Murtha/Waxman/Rangel junta and their sinister plans for America. Let’s see how big their majority ends up being.

I can’t explain in detail about Nebraska politics BUT…trust me, a vote for Senator Ben Nelson IS NOT a vote for abortion, homosexual marriages, or a liberal Supreme Court judge. Nelson was one of the few democrats who voted for Roberts and the ONLY one to vote for Alito (there might have been another but I don’t think so). He also put forward a border security plan tougher than what most Republican senators wanted.

We’re not the ones who voted for liberalism. We want nothing to do with it.

Well said! I too cannot emphasize enough how conservative this State is on the vast majority of issues.

I figured there had to be another Nebraskan on here somewhere. Yep, Benny ought to just switch his party affliation to Republican and be done with it. He sure cleaned Ricketts’s clock today. People don’t understand that a Nebraska democrat is an entirely different creature.

Yeah, Nebraska Dems certainly doesn’t equal Left Coast Liberal Democrat. KP would be very welcome here. Also, as strange as it sounds, Pelosi is actually considered conservative by Left Coast standards. That is a thought that I find absolutely terrifying.

Yeah, Nebraska football isn’t the powerhouse it used to be. I never lose sleep over sports. If the home team wins, great. If not, better luck next time.
