Police “detain” Mike Stark at Allen rally in Virginia

Whom to believe? The guy who claims he fell down after being pushed? Or the guy who claims he didn’t push anyone and was recently caught on camera pushing someone?

Dilemmas, dilemmas:

The incident occurred at the end of a rally at the Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport after Allen supporters continually jockeyed to position themselves between Allen and Stark, who said he wanted to ask the senator about his arrest record. An Albemarle County court index book shows two summonses issued for Allen in 1974, but supporting documents were destroyed long ago. Allen has said he offenses were for fishing without a license and unpaid parking tickets.

As Stark tried to sidestep the human wall formed to shield Allen at Saturday’s rally, he brushed past a person who then fell. A deputy sheriff grabbed Stark, put the man’s arm behind his back and led him away to the cheers of about 100 Allen supporters.

Stark said as he was taken into the custody that he had heard the young man who fell tell another Allen supporter he planned to take a dive.

The person who fell refused to give his name or talk about the incident with a reporter.

Are there, could there possibly be, photos of this submoronic Michael Moore wannabe being cuffed and led away?

Oh yes, my friends. Oh yes.

Update: Did the AP reporter witness the incident? The piece doesn’t say so; if not, how did he/she know that Stark “brushed past”?

It was obviously racist. The cop was black.

The fact that this idiot keeps going back for more shows that he is more than qualified to take over the operations at Air America.

Pam on November 4, 2006 at 4:36 PM

Well, at least Stark wore a tie this time. A clip-on but still…

CliffHanger on November 4, 2006 at 4:38 PM

Hey, Stark has a job and can now afford a tie. He looks like such a professional.

Hmmm, did I need to add journalist to that?

Dusty on November 4, 2006 at 4:44 PM

Aw, c’mon, you’ve got to be kidding. THAT is without a doubt is one of most butt-ugly ties that I have ever seen.

CyberCipher on November 4, 2006 at 4:47 PM

Actually that looks like a real tie. Maybe bestest buddy Kos tied it for him.

infidel4life on November 4, 2006 at 4:48 PM

This guy is going to skyrocket into nutroot lore as a hero. Too funny.

p0s3r on November 4, 2006 at 4:55 PM

This shows how worried democrats are of republicans taking action against them. They aren’t! They believe they hold the religious, moral, and political high ground.

IMHO, the only way to prove these ‘activists’ wrong is to assist the GOP in their get out the votes effort. Anything less will result in proving Stark, Kerry, and the rest of the liberal elitists were right.

Vote on Nov. 7th.

DannoJyd on November 4, 2006 at 4:55 PM

What’s it gonna tale to get this guy AND HIS FRIENDS off the street.
The longer he gets away with this kind of action, the more emboldened his comrades are going to get.
Soon it’ll be with weapons and an attempt.
Stop him hard now and save someone or wait and bury them.

tormod on November 4, 2006 at 5:08 PM

It’s a pretty nice tie.

Christoph on November 4, 2006 at 5:08 PM

tormod, he’s a moron and there have been attempts in the past; will be in the future. I’m not sure the two are related.

If he in fact committed a minor assault and pushed someone who fell, yes, charge him so you can get a suspended sentence or minimal sentence and a criminal record on his record so you can hit him later if he commits other assaults… but he hasn’t threatened anyone.

If I were the Secret Service, I’d be on my guard. But asking a dishonest question and shoving isn’t something you can put him away for a long time for, even as much as I completely understand a desire to bush his chops.

Maybe that is the solution…

Christoph on November 4, 2006 at 5:11 PM

*bust his chops

UPDATE: must have been a Feudian slip!

Christoph on November 4, 2006 at 5:12 PM

Oh for God sakes, or I just can’t type.

Christoph on November 4, 2006 at 5:12 PM

Allen’s prayers are being answered with this jackass’s behavior, which will and ought to be attributed to Webb’s campaign until Webb comes out against it. Stark’s theatrics deserve a Hanson column immediately, even moreso if Webb hasn’t already disowned Stark, or turned him upside down and stuck … nevermind.

Do they waterboard in Virginia?

JammieWearingFool on November 4, 2006 at 5:22 PM

Can we waterboard are political opponents or is that considered “insensitive”?

Christoph on November 4, 2006 at 5:27 PM

*our — this is a bad, bad day for typos

Michelle… spell check, please!

Christoph on November 4, 2006 at 5:27 PM

Does he have a sister named Cindy?

Wade on November 4, 2006 at 5:29 PM

Is it possible his name is really Starkweather?

Hating Yourself, Hating Everyone, Hating the World

The improbably-named Charles Starkweather grew up short, bow-legged, pigeon-toed, half-blind, with a speech impedient, and dumb. Of course, that doesn’t justify his 10-day murder spree in which he and his 14-year-old girlfriend killed 11 people. But it does give a hint to his character. Another hint is that fact he was excruciatingly sensitive to any criticism, and so imaginative he sometimes couldn’t tell if he was awake or asleep. He said he hated himself, blamed his problems on others (significanty, he claimed all the killings were in self-defense) and so logically hated everyone. He often had fantasies of killing everyone in the world so he could live alone with nature. At the age of 19 he finally snapped, an event that led to his execution a few years later, and his girlfriend spending some 25 years in prison. The author, William Allen, is a surprisingly stylish and powerful writer, and has done a very good job in zeroing in on what went wrong with Starkweather — a man born flawed, and whose flaws were actived by the environment in which he was raised.

Eerie similarities.

Discuss.

Isn’t Stark in law school? If so, we all know where he will end up after he graduates…fighting for the ACLU.

Rick on November 4, 2006 at 6:11 PM

Useful Idiot. . . .

BTW, can someone enlighten this ignoramus on who or what ‘Goodlatte’ is?

Sounds like a menu item at a Starbucks for illiterates.

infidel4life on November 4, 2006 at 6:53 PM

He’s loser; therefore, he’s a “rock star” to the left.

SouthernGent on November 4, 2006 at 7:25 PM

Too bad he didn’t resist arrest.

georgej on November 4, 2006 at 7:35 PM

Not if he gets arrested a few times for assault. More important than ever to press charges. The last thing we need is another “progressive” lawyer….

BadBrad on November 4, 2006 at 7:52 PM

Unfortunately, this is what we get when these liberal/left wing lunatics are not “handled” as illegitimate and potentially dangerous. While the overwhelming majority of these simps are muttering pansies, the occasional bonafide criminal will find an opportunity to create mayhem knowing the conservatives of the world — trying to avoid an “incident” — are being “pushovers”.

Just keep bouncing their heads off the wall or the floor. The cause for debate and discussion has no place for these morons and their “intrusion” strategy.

Spider Dan on November 5, 2006 at 10:49 AM

Stark looks like the illegitimate lovechild of Oliver Stone and ‘Private Pyle’ from Full Metal Jacket.

What’s his major malfunction?

Readymade on November 5, 2006 at 11:57 AM

Someone should waterboard Stark, not to make him talk, but just for laughs.

JackM on November 6, 2006 at 9:08 AM

If I hadn’t seen the website, I wouldn’t have believed it.

UAS Today… “brushed past”??!!?? “Planed to take a dive…”??!!??

I’m speachless. BLATANT B.S. If that writer were to make that statement to me, I’d punch them int he face. Repeatedly, until they told the truth.

Too bad I’m in Cali.
