Anyone seen any review’s of Steyn’s book from the Left? I’m curious to see what they say. All I’ve seen is when he was on Hannity & Colmes, and Colmes just tossed him some boilerplate about the issue of the day, North Korea. I’d like to see what liberals say about his main themes.

Regarding Canada’s Indigo bookstore: I have no doubt that the absence of Steyn’s book is by design, and has nothing to do with lack of supply. Regardless, walking into any of their stores you are immediately surrounded by a sea of anti-American and anti-Bush titles. This is precisely why every book I have purchased in the last 5 years (except for Steyn’s latest, which I ordered from his site, in order to get myself a personally autographed copy) has been though http://www.amazon.ca. Indigo is dead to me.

We live in an era when many of the neoconservatives—some who called for the removal of Saddam Hussein well before September 11—have by now either recanted their support for the President, or concluded that the effort in Iraq was not very good because it has proven less than perfect.

Rarely mentioned, much less appreciated, is the low probability that another American president would have removed Saddam, or stayed around to secure Iraq, in the face of such criticism. In addition, many traditional conservatives supported the war, but, like liberal hawks, now have gravitated to the “It was my perfect three-year war, and your lousy three-year occupation” school of opportunistic hindsight.
