Went to an Iowa caucus in a bar..er…supper club back in 84. Drinks were on the house. Came with the supper.
I was young and inexperienced for my first time.
Awkward, even clumsy.

I think it’s a cute commercial, but it won’t get anyone to the polls anymore than they already would. I agree with whoever referred to the fact that most likely none of those actresses voted last time.

Anyway, My first time I was driving from Florida on my way back to college. It was 1980. I had NO interest in voting. My father (who was circuit clerk at the time) said he could check and see if I voted and if I didn’t there would be hell to pay. I remember standing in line sunburned with cut off jean shorts,t-shirt and flip flops (yes, it was still hot)and voting for Jimmy Carter like the good Democrat that I was.

Good grief, the stupid things we do in our youth.

Vaguely aumsing, except how do you vote in an old woman’s garage?

It isn’t peculiar to rural areas, and it’s still true. My father-in-law lives in Chatsworth, in the San Fernando Valley (THEEE Valley), and his polling place is in a garage two blocks over. There are probably 3 million people in the Valley, it’s pretty densely populated, and it isn’t close to being rural. Borderline suburban.

Sometimes I feel like giving in; like saying: let’s have a divided gov’t so gridlock will insure that Nothing can be done, therefore, nothing bad can be done. Rush L.’s gridlock strategy would have been perfect way back when…when we were the minority…when we weren’t under such an obvious attack….(of course, in my partisan mind, “we” means Right-Republican.) Well, folks, it’s not that same world any more. Each time you defy our leaders, allies, and friends, you are giving aid and comfort to the enemy. If, in the name of “Freedom of Speech”, you KNOWINGLY give information/intelligence to the enemy even a few hours before they would have in the normal course of events discovered said info/intel, then you are a HUGE part of the problem, and could reasonably be called, by reasonable men, TREASONOUS! All of you doubters out there, just read the definitions (plural). Not just one wacky poster, but BY DEFINITION. Now, all of you articulate, Clintonesque zombies can spin this how you will, but the TRUTH (as y’all like to SHOUT) is there for everyone who cares to search, read ,and learn.
