Hey, I think bringin’ back the draft is a GREAT idea! Start drafting anybody who votes dhimmicrat and they’ll run to Canada! The Army doesn’t get femiized by liberal draftee soldiers and we lose millions of dhimmi voters next election, it’s a win-win for us! But, our poor friends in Canada will be stuck with millions of lefties just as they were gettin’ some Conservatives in office up there … oh well, THEIR problem!

What an opportunity missed: the DNC should have gotten Murtha to do a followup ad for Michael J. Fox–”Jim Talent won’t help old farts like me with Alzheimer’s because he’s a mean, evil Republican and wants me to babble and stumble around the house (or House) all day, so vote for Democrats, because they don’t have any medicine to fix my problem, but they seem to care more and that’s what matters!

“Cut and Run Murtha” lecturing John F’ng Kerry on war comments? The man who takes every opportunity to convict our servicemen before formal charges, if any, are filed. This man? I don’t like to speak about the dead, but what’s next, Gerry Studds condemning Mark Foley? JFK lecturing Clinton on marital fidelity? James Webb condemning Larry Flynt? Aside from this obvious hypocrisy, really, is anyone surprised by “I’m smarter than everyone” Kerry insulting and slandering the military? Haven’t we been through this before? Starting with his slanderous testimony before Congress in 71, his fake throwing away of his medals, his “I voted for it before I voted against it” supplemental vote denying the military their funding, our troops are terrorizing women and children, and now this. This isn’t a “clumsy attempt at a joke”, this is a life-long pattern of comtempt and disdain for our military. His continual votes against military equipment throughout his dismal senate career only adds to the picture of his utter lack of respect for our military. As Zell Miller said, John Kerry wants to be the commander in chief of the U.S. Armed Forces, forces armed with what? Spit-balls? This man is a national disgrace, a pompous-ass, elitist snob that can only survive economically by preying on rich widows……….

A draft wouldn’t work anyway. Every liberal drafted would simply refuse to show up and our courts would be bogged down with ACLU lawsuits. Our refusal to hold cowards and traitors accountable has taught them that laws mean nothing.

The draft is the only way with a volunteer army to get lots more people in uniform but thats a disaster

Hell yes, it’s a disaster! Can you imagine trying to turn drafted civilians into soldiers, when they’ve wussified Basic Training to the point that Drill SGTs yelling is way down and recruits can question orders?

I kid you not, it’s going on at Ft. Living Room right now. Probably Jackson, too, maybe more, but I haven’t heard one way or another. So much for the soldierization process. So when they get to Iraq and you tell them to freeze because they’re about to step on an IED, they’ll say “Why?” and then it’ll be too late. That’s some good f*ckin’ training there, soldiers. (Sometimes the politically-correct Army can s*ck my h**ry b*lls.) God, I hope they fix that when they get out to their units, but no one will ever convince me that teaching them wrong to begin with is a good idea. Sorry, end of rant.

…the little weasel (was that the “Tucker Carlson” I’ve heard about, sans bow tie?) coaches Mr. Murtha through all of the Democrats “Congressman Charlie Rangel said… politics-of-grievance” talking points, and he still hmms and haws.

…maybe O’Reilly should ask Juan Williams whether MSNBC is in the tank for the Democrats…or did he?

…so the official Democratic Party position on this issue:

* Mr. Kerry didn’t mean to insult the troops, in spite of the man’s track record where the military is concerned.

* The entire episode should be forgotten…especially in states where they have a good chance of picking up seats.

* That what Mr. Kerry said was *essentially correct*, but was phrased in a way that which leaves him open to misinterpretation.

…funny…he said “get educated or get stuck in Iraq”…and I took it to mean “get educated or get stuck in Iraq”…as in “don’t mess around and lose your college draft deferment”. Somebody wanna tell the junior Senator that he’s 40 years behind the rest of us.

Not a big Tucker Carlson fan, but his set-up and question to Murtha about what Rangel and the Democrats say about who joins the army pretty much articulates for me my thoughts on Kerry’s statement.
