The UN - entertainment on a whole new level. If you don't beleive that, just think what the UN has given us with this conference - Internet access without connections (hard or wireless) Internet conferences without the Internet Wireless connections that are apparently neither wireless nor connections, and United Nations that aren't, and regarding the question posed by this statement:

It’s hardly ironic they organized a meeting that produced nothing. The UN has been doing that for years. It’s even less surprising they surrendered in the face of the challenge so easily.

Here's the answer - the reason that the UN gave up so easily is that the conference was obviously chaired by the French !!! Keep in mind that the UN wants to oversee and regulate the internet - as soon as they find a connection to it! The United Nations - entertainment on a whole new level

Here’s something else to consider about a Democratic victory next week. Say good-bye to the free speech internet as they adopt a “multilateral” approach to Internet governance.

The UN and Euro weenies are getting their panties in a bunch trying to wrest control of the Internet from the US Commerce Dept. and ICANN.
The current administration is holding the line, but how fast do you think the Dems would cave to the UN if given the chance.

Seriously, though. It’s NOT that hard to set up a wlan. Not hard at all. If you can understand basic instructions, like “Plug the router into the wall and insert the coax/cat5/whatever cable to the hole labeled ‘Internet’”, you can set up a wlan.

Reminds me of the joke about the guy who got some STD, and couldn’t figure out why, because he was wearing a condom. On his head.
