From the British head of an Arabist NGO to the guy who once basically thanked a pair of Afghans for beating and mugging his sorry western ass to another guy who recently smeared the U.S. military and is on record as saying it’s okay to lie to audiences (but certainly never in print!).
[...] Things are already getting worse, not better. I used to think hardliners cracking down on the kids over there was a good thing insofar as it would antagonize them into revolution that much more quickly. But from what I’ve read in the last year or two, it sounds like Santa’s not coming down the chimney anytime soon. Either we’re going to have to do something — notorious far-left liar Sy “Winter Soldier” Hersh’s latest anonymously-sourced, national-security-compromising scoop notwithstanding — or Israel will have to play deus ex machina.
Interesting, the knee jerk reaction that what Hersh is saying can't be true. It seems to me given what our troops are trained to do, versus what the reality on the ground in Iraq is, the issue is not whether there have been crimes, but why they are not more common. These guys are being shot at by not just civilians, but by members of the Iraqi police and army. What do you expect?

I much prefer to be a baby-killer. (BTW, they taste just like chicken)

I keep encountering the smarmy "I support the (evil, murderous, lying, war-crime committing) troops" types, and they waste far too much of my day. The "baby-killers" are over and done with in milliseconds, and I'm free to ignore them.

Slander of Military - Part Two...

So, not only are our soldiers too dumb to avoid the recruiters sales pitch and avoid service in a war zone, now we are told that once they get there they are the most violent and murderous Army in our nation's history....

“About ten minutes later, [the soldiers] begin dragging bodies together, and they drop weapons there. It was reported as 20 or 30 insurgents killed that day,” he said.

If Americans knew the full extent of U.S. criminal conduct, they would receive returning Iraqi veterans as they did Vietnam veterans, Hersh said.

I think Kerry and Sy need to make an extended trip to Iraq to investigate these charges. Hopefully they won't get fragged while they are there....

What a tool. He longs for another My Lai. Funny how "progressive" thinkers want to live in the past. Maybe they're not as "progressive" as advertised. Kerry said the Republicans want to turn the clock back to 1958? Why do the Democrats want to turn it back to 1968?

Were our troops not violent under Dem presidents?
Oh, I fogot. Under Dem presidents our military was “sennnsitive, caarrring, lovvving, forrrrgivvving”.

I vaguely remember all those "progressive" MSM and celeb types telling us how important it was to bomb the snot out of Serbia a few years ago. Slick Willie's adventure in tail-wagging.

I hope he's lying -because if not, he really is the lowest of the low-life on the planet!

If he has evidence anyone (including someone in the military) committed crimes like that, he should be showing it from every venue he can. His first priority though, seems to be personal profit and glory. I don't know words strong enough to describe the contempt I feel for anyone who would do that. Then there's also the fact that sitting on things like that casts uncertainty over the entire military.

So in my opinion, either he's lying or he's witholding evidence for personal profit -with a side-order of trying to influence the election.

So much for John Kerry's "joke" excuse. He meant what he said and, as Rove says, it's a lifelong habit. Someone other than Jennifer Loven at the Associated Press reports on Kerry's disparaging remarks about America's volunteer army--which he deem...

A question for Sy (hershey highway for brains),
Were our troops not violent under Dem presidents?
Oh, I fogot. Under Dem presidents our military was "sennnsitive, caarrring, lovvving, forrrrgivvving".
Memo to Sy; war is violent.
If we could only train the libs to hate our enemies as much as they hate America....

A lot of liberals absolutely despise the military and so they end up in this eternal wrestling match with themselves......

You have to wonder about a guy who rushes so blindly to embrace the side of people who want to kill him. It's a strange form of self-hatred where he's so disgusted with himself, that he believes any culture that would allow him to earn a living must be destroyed.

It's pathetic.

And what's more pathetic are the people who believe him.

Hersh, the guy who claimed that the US was planning to use nuclear weapons on Iran.

Interestingly enough, Hersh also wrote that the Niger forgeries were carried out by CIA agents opposed to the Iraq war.

Let's just say Hersh loves stirring shit up.

This same kind of soldier once also killed hundreds of thousands of Nazis (some of whom were probably helplessly asleep in their fortified positions when the bombs hit), too. The murderous s.o.b.'s!

And they also broke down the gates of death camps, probably without permission. The baby-killing maniacs!

Hersh has drowned in his own bile.

We see only the bobbling corpse and hear the escaping gases of putrification.

Too many - but of course Seymour wouldn't write about that, now would he?
