I’m so scared. What a nice halloween presentation? Nov. 7 will be the spookiest. By the way, when Nancy Pelosi start wearing burka after voting to allow sharia law, her eyes–those eyes that stare awesomely and menancingly–will make the burka babe of the year. Keep up the good work Michelle. Some firecrackers in the background would have been better.

Ouabam on October 31, 2006 at 7:46 AM

Was Nancy Pelosi wearing a Guy Fawkes mask or the Joker mask?

pjcomix on October 31, 2006 at 7:46 AM

Talk about scare tactics! ;) But seriously Michelle, we all know why we don’t want the Dems to win. Sadly, the Republicans haven’t exactly given us a reason why we should vote for them, Democrats aside. I don’t even think I’m going to vote this year. I live in Illinois, and believe me, there isn’t one good man or woman running for anything on either side in this state. I would be ashamed to back any one of them.

John on October 31, 2006 at 8:10 AM

Love the outtake at the end!!

senrab on October 31, 2006 at 8:13 AM

Best Vent Yet. Thanks for the warnings.

Please Vote Republican or else, we could all wake up to a real life Twilight Zone.

It could mean the end of civilization as we know it, including Impeachment, Pullout, ACLU, CAIR, Sharia….

flagwaver on October 31, 2006 at 8:29 AM

Another outstanding piece of creativity by Michelle. I liked the scary music in the background as well.

I guess I’m preaching to the choir, but this is another example of why this is the best political website of its kind. Ironically, I first discovered this site with a link from Drudge. I say “ironic” because although the goals of each website are different, I now find myself far more on Hot Air than I do on Drudge.

asc85 on October 31, 2006 at 8:43 AM

Democrats in charge of anything should scare the HELL out of every American. However, half the country is composed of sheeple clueless about national security, defense, rational economic policy, judicial restraint, and on and on. They have been educated by the bureaucratic and very liberal public education establishment, and they have never recovered from this brainwashing.
Our major advantage in defeating these liberals in coming elections is through procreation. We have many more children than they do. If that wasn’t the case, we’d be destined to years of Democrat rule. Get busy conservatives, NOW!

liberty on October 31, 2006 at 8:48 AM

I distinctly heard drums in the background. You’re clearly racist.

As for Rangel: cutting off funds for Iraq? Didn’t another Democrat Congress try that circa 1974? How’d that work out?

As for Kennedy: should Teddy *really* be commenting on women’s issues?

Here’s an unpopular opinion: I hope the Democrats win the House. In fact, when I went to early voting, I should voted for them. Senate, too. (And to think I missed a chance to vote for Harold Ford!)

Videos like this remind me of just how inept, how confused, how fundamentally frightening the Democrat leadership is to anyone with a working brain.

I really believe that giving them power for a couple terms would be the most effective way to eliminate the far left permanently.

I’m cheering for them. A Democrat victory will eventually be a long-term win for America.

(Assuming, of course, they don’t manage to get us all nuked by peaceful Islamists while they’re in charge. That’s the one flaw in my plan. Oops.)

Professor Blather on October 31, 2006 at 8:56 AM

Ah, the ‘Tax and Run’ Democrats in charge.

But at least when they have destroyed the economy and opened the borders, there will be plenty of ‘angry youths’ to riot and burn cars every night.

Jonathon on October 31, 2006 at 8:57 AM

asc85 – Bryan gets all the credit for the wizardry. Though I did do the costume shopping–including the dagger he used to take out one of my kidneys. ;)

Michelle on October 31, 2006 at 8:57 AM

Okay, that outtake at the end was funny, but only insomuch as I know you’re okay, Michelle. Great vent, and I love the way you approached it. Happy Halloween everyone! Be safe, and don’t forget to vote.

DakRoland on October 31, 2006 at 9:04 AM

Great Vent!

Happy Halloween!

Ian on October 31, 2006 at 9:10 AM

I was just thinking at the end…damn, this scared the hell out of me; then the outtake popped up and I started choking…I knew that couldn’t have been done on 1 take..:) Thanks Michelle..cute costume by the way!

austinnelly on October 31, 2006 at 9:39 AM

As for Rangel: cutting off funds for Iraq? Didn’t another Democrat Congress try that circa 1974? How’d that work out?

I was just reminded while refreshing my memory on newly announced presidential hopeful Duncan Hunter of the bill he introduced last November to head off the Rangel/Murtha contingent and shut them up. It read:

Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the deployment of United States forces in Iraq be terminated immediately.

Resolved, That it is the sense of the House of Representatives that the deployment of United States forces in Iraq be terminated immediately.

It went down in flames, 403-3, just as it was supposed to.

If you’re not going to vote to pull the troops out, you can’t very well vote to defund them, can you?

Pablo on October 31, 2006 at 9:40 AM

Happy Halloween Michelle et al!

John:
I’m with ya. I was so disappointed when Rauschenberger joined forces with that moderate.
If we’d stayed in the Chicago area-moved in june-there’s no way I could’ve voted for either “Far ToPINKO” or Blago.
That’s one of the reasons why we moved south-west.
TALENT FOR SENATE! SAY NO TO AD. 2!

annoyinglittletwerp on October 31, 2006 at 9:45 AM

You are educating us all and giving us little sound bites to take out into the world with us. Great vent! I have linked to you on my new blog, such as it is, because I think everyone needs to hear this vent and get really, really scared!

Webutante

Webutante on October 31, 2006 at 10:10 AM

Damn this is scary! And to think that, unlike vampires and wolfmen (wolfpersons?) this can become all too real.

Ted Kennedy in Education? OMG! That hasn’t entered my worst nightmares.

Unfortunately a lot of people, disappointed with the republicans stand on immigration and domestic policy have threatened to ‘stay home’ this election. Of course here in my area we *must* vote-by-mail (don’t want any dead, felons, or imaginary democratic friends to be dis-enfrancised!).

Love the outtake – hope your ok Michelle – good thing you weren’t throwing around a real knife.

Be careful out there.

– Greg

CrazyFool on October 31, 2006 at 10:46 AM

Dem majorities are scary enough without the Halloween motifs…

Bryan, when is the full Hot Air gag reel coming?

Kid from Brooklyn on October 31, 2006 at 10:46 AM

Moonbat lagoon- classic. Loved the blooper reel.

great vent!

Limerick on October 31, 2006 at 11:03 AM

My fav part was Michelle’s impression of Charles Rangel. So that’s what Michelle would sound like if she smoked like a chimney. Hmm.

Lone Star on October 31, 2006 at 11:10 AM

If you’re not going to vote to pull the troops out, you can’t very well vote to defund them, can you?

In a word, yes. They can leave the troops stranded in the desert with no ammo, cheer for the Islamothugs, and blame it all on Bush’s illegal war. Given their contempt for Bush and the military, this is not an unlikely scenario.

RedWinged Blackbird on October 31, 2006 at 11:14 AM

Pablo……look up Operation Frequent Wind and Operation Eagle Pull……

Yes congress can defund anything, and these pukes would do just that…just ask the South Vietnamese Government (if you can find it).

Limerick on October 31, 2006 at 11:21 AM

If the Democrats threaten to bring “peace in our time,” at least Michelle’s letting a smile be our “umbrella.”

urbancenturion on October 31, 2006 at 11:37 AM

So you are saying if the Dems win it will be like Halloween everyday?

EnochCain on October 31, 2006 at 11:43 AM

what did P diddy say? “Vote or die!” That’s an appropriate slogan for Halloween! I wonder how many Howard Dean masks thei are this year. They could have his roar built into the mask. I wonder if he owns the right to that roar or is it Public Domain?

I hope nobody was injured on the set of Vent. It might be a good idea to get a stand in for the stunts. You don’t want to loose you star to injury.

Drtuddle on October 31, 2006 at 11:47 AM

Happy Halloween to Michelle and everyone at HotAir. Excellent piece and this should certainly give everyone pause… yikes!!!!

Ya know, that really DID scare the sh*t out of me and there isn’t enough candy in my neighborhood to make me feel better.

Great vent.

MarkB on October 31, 2006 at 2:47 PM

Great Vent Michelle! The Humor (especially the take at the end) was fun to watch, even though the content accurately described a Left Wing Horror Show.

The Left really is this nation’s biggest weakness. It will be unfortunate if the Left does gain more power – which may lead to major disaster.

I believe that the only way the majority of Americans will come to their senses, to abandon the Left, is after major disasters bring us all together (most Americans anyway).

Don’t forget about Kucinich. He has a fundraising letter up on his webpage boasting, “Kucinich is in line to chair the Government Oversight subcommittee on International Relations, National Security and Emerging Threats.” He promises with a Dem majority, “The truth will come out about 911.”

He even has a 9/11 Truth forum on his site.

rw on October 31, 2006 at 4:10 PM

Is this supposed to be “Michelle the Witch” that the left is so terrified of? Heh. I kind of dig the outfit.

As for the Vent, all I could think was “…the horror………the horror……”

for those of you that want to “teach” Republicans a “lesson” by sitting out this election & not voting, well – here’s one thing to remember – don’t b*tch & moan “if” the terrorist appeaser democrats win this November.

Happy Halloween!

Bearhopi on October 31, 2006 at 5:35 PM

“Sadly, the Republicans haven’t exactly given us a reason why we should vote for them, Democrats aside. I don’t even think I’m going to vote this year.”

Then you’re voting donk.

It’s reminiscent of the old poem that begins,

“What if they gave a war and nobody came?

Sounds clever, doesn’t it? “A pox on all of them!” But what most people don’t know is the second line:

“Why, then the war will come to you!”

That, in a nutshell, is what this election is all about – the stakes of which Michelle has illustrated all too clearly in her Vent.

Even when you choose not to choose, you’ve chosen. If you’re on a battlefield and decide not to fight – and the enemy doesn’t return the favor, as the donks certainly won’t – then whether you believe in defeat or not, you’ve chosen it.

Not every choice is between “good” and “bad.” Sometimes, it’s between “not so good” and “bad,” or between “bad” and “even worse.” And if those are the only options on the menu, then it’s “not-so-good” over “bad,” and “bad” over “even worse” every single time.

Or, to paraphrase another old saying,

“All that’s needed for the donkey party to prevail is for good Republicans to do nothing.”

Spurius Ligustinus on October 31, 2006 at 5:36 PM

…bone-chilling creature from the moonbat lagoon…

Okay. I LOL’ed IRL.

MOMinuteman on October 31, 2006 at 8:07 PM

Hokey smokes that was scary! Especially the parts with Teddy Kennedy and Nancy Pelosi taking over. It was like a monster movie, “Election of the Living Dead!” They keep digging these unholy lefty ideas up out of their graves, dispatching them as zombies to feed on the brains of the slow-witted.

Tantor on October 31, 2006 at 8:16 PM

Michelle – thank you for the nightmare on this Hallow’s Eve. Don’t forget to check the kids candy, especially if you have moonbats in your d’hood.

MOMinuteman, thanks for the reminder. I’ve used tinyurl.com many times before. Guess I was just feeling a little lazy tonight, or just not thinking. Of course, with the link button (right in front of my nose), tinyurl isn’t even necessary.

Am I the only one, or is iTunes not getting the most recent Vents? The last one I got was 10/27, Steyn part 2. That’s also the lastest one iTunes showed in its list when I unsubscribed and resubscribed.
