Yeah, yeah, I know. But funny’s funny. Besides, they’re old hands at race-baiting.
Is Ana Marie Cox playing dumb here or does she really not know this comes from WhiteHouse.org? A tipoff might have been the fact that the video is credited on YouTube to … “whitehousedotorg.”
Then again, Wonkette editors have never been too sharp when it comes to distinguishing real from fake.
Update: This one’s not bad either.

You know, I was willing to laugh at it. It just didn’t happen for me.
Pablo on October 30, 2006 at 2:28 PM
Yeah - I’m working on a video that parodies the left’s one track mind. I’m hoping it’s better than that thing, and I’m just using MS Moviemaker.

Yeah, it started funny with the music, but then it was just crude and by-the-numbers. Whitehouse.org is pretty bad in general.
Alex K on October 30, 2006 at 2:31 PM
I’d have nothing to say about this one, considering the source, except that this gives them play they don’t deserve.
Freelancer on October 30, 2006 at 2:34 PM
Nah, she’s not ‘playing’ - that’s the key word.
Entelechy on October 30, 2006 at 2:35 PM
This was funny? I musta missed the punchline.
lorien1973 on October 30, 2006 at 3:05 PM
Something like that has to be really over the top to be good, and this wasn’t it.
Iblis on October 30, 2006 at 3:09 PM

Yup- second one is pretty good. Nuance.
Scotsman on October 30, 2006 at 3:27 PM
That second one had me laughing out loud here at work. Now, my cube neighbors KNOW I’m nuts. ;)
tickleddragon on October 30, 2006 at 3:41 PM
Yeah that second one is pretty darn good.
Why? (Say it with me!)
It’s funny … cuz it’s true!
Sheesh. Everybody knows only racists oppose Black politicians! (Assuming they’re Democrats, of course!)
Professor Blather on October 30, 2006 at 4:13 PM
The 1st one wasn’t so funny.
The second one was very funny.
Take this as you will, but as a gay man I must tell y’all that my “gaydar” goes off every time I see Harold Ford, Jr.
SouthernGent on October 30, 2006 at 4:39 PM
1st one is lame - like in “how can I get that wasted time back” lame.
2nd one is better - but the moonbats would say that the parody is racist and would be all a twitter over it.
Dr. Gecko on October 30, 2006 at 4:52 PM
The first one was offensive.
The second one was more to the point.
If you don’t support Democrats, you are a racist. Even if you are black, brown, yellow, red, or polka dot, you are racist!
If you disagree with a “person of color” then you are a racist, provided that person of color is black, or sometimes Hispanic. If the person of color is Asian Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or any type of Asian-Oriental, then you are not racist, unless that person is a leftist, liberal Democrat, then, if the Democrats and the news media, and Hollywood celebrities say you are a racist, then you must be a racist, unless you switch sides, then you are one of them and “get it.”
If you don’t agree with racial preferences and preferred “minorities” then you are RACIST!!!
GET IT!!!
Unless you call yourself a Liberal, a leftist, or a Democrat, then you can be disrespectful of blacks, Hispanics, Chinese, Indian, whatever, even Caucasians. That’s perfectly Okay. Then you are not racist.
Whew!
It is tough keeping score with such a strange, perverted set of rules.

Ford Party animal is good if it is true. The black white ad is kinda scarey to the point of inciteful. But hey if is show time lets get it on. The people of Tennesee might just be that scarey I don’t know.
sonnyspats1 on October 30, 2006 at 5:04 PM
How long before Howard Dean picks up that line?
3 - 2 - 1 - ….
infidel4life on October 30, 2006 at 5:15 PM
Ditto. They are always funnier when they are dead on.
jjjen on October 30, 2006 at 5:37 PM
That’s the way the Democrats are going to win the election: By insulting the voters.
“Yes! I’m a racist! Now I really want to vote for Harold Ford!”
Ali-Bubba on October 30, 2006 at 5:44 PM
thanks for the positive feedback on the vid, everyone.
jummy on October 30, 2006 at 6:15 PM
As a straight former flight attendant, I’d have to agree.

Leaving aside this idiotic video for a moment, I think it’s time to give up some props to Pablo, who has been killin’ me all week with the perfect post.
You truly are the man, Pablo.

I went to school with Ana Marie Cox, and trust me, she’s not playing dumb.
Squid Vicious on October 31, 2006 at 9:00 AM
