They MUST go to some form of digital distribution. Pay-per-view, download, Movielink, something. They’ll make a lot more money and many more people will get to see it.

Otherwise, we need a group of wealthy conservative philanthropists worried about the future of the nation to buy the rights and distribute it as widely as possible for free. This is too important to remain largely unseen.

Another documentary equally as good, if not better, is “Islam: What The West Needs To Know.” It also is being produced on a shoestring. The Amazon link I provide above shows only one used copy available. I saw this documentary first at an art house movie theater in downtown DC.

It does a good job of taking you through the mindset of radical Islam and is well worth watching if, for nothing else, the scene in the Iraqi mosque in the last few minutes where the crazy-as-batshit imam starts waving a sword around on the pulpit screaming Islam will conquer the world to a frenzied mob of worshippers going nuts. Absolutely bone-chilling. Unless you see that scene and stare these fanatics in the face, you just don’t know what America is up against.

This documentary was only released in a single theater in a handful of cities. It has not been widely seen. I can’t recommend it enough. Every American Should See This Documentary. This is another DVD you should pass around.

Another documentary that Must Be Seen is Steve Emerson’s “Terrorists Among Us – Jihad in America,” which, unfortunately, is only available on VHS not DVD and is out of print. You must order it used, if you can find it. I recommend that you do a pre-order on Amazon, using the link I give you above, and wait for one to become available.

Emerson is a journalist who stumbled across radical Muslims raising money for terror and pitching jihad right here in America, renting banquet halls in big cities to spread their hateful Islam. He found videos for sale of jihad sermons pitched in New York City and elsewhere. This fifth column of jihadis hides in America behind the language barrier, making nice in English while preaching bloody murder in Arabic.

The jihadis who are working to destroy America have been hiding in plain sight right here in America. For Pete’s sake, even Zawahiri came to America to raise money for Al Qaeda. That’s how crazy this situation has become.

There are a lot of good books that can introduce you to the true face of Islam. Most of them are written by Robert Spencer, who has deconstructed the phony claims of the “peaceful and tolerant” Islam with references directly from the Koran, the hadith, and contemporary Muslim sources. Spencer’s “The Truth About Muhammad: Founder of the World’s Most Intolerant Religion” does a pretty good job of binding the revelations and example of Mohammed to current Islamic terrorism. It’s pretty simple to see that the terrorists are just emulating the example of Mohammed. Hijacking airliners is the modern equivalent of Mohammed attacking infidel camel caravans. Islamic snuff videos are the modern equivalent of Mohammed presiding over the public mass beheadings of captive Jews.

However, I recommend as your first book Spencer’s “The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades).” It gives you a straightforward rebuttal of many of Islam’s claims and, most of all, introduces you to Islam’s foremost doctrine of expedience: Anything that promotes Islam is good; anything that doesn’t is bad. That justifies anything done in the name of Islam.

However, if you do not watch nor read any of the recommendations above, the single best book that You Must Read This Year is Lawrence Wright’s “The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11.” This book summarizes all the important information about the rise of radical Islam, starting with Sayyid Qutb in Colorado, the formation of Al Qaeda, and the guys in our government fighting them. It neatly combined the vital lessons I’ve read in a dozen books into one tight package which reads like a novel.

It knocks down a lot of myths bandied about as truth in the media. For example, far from being a hero in Afghanistan’s war against the Soviets, Bin Laden did little. The Afghans thought he and his Afghan Arabs were “useless.” Bin Laden isn’t wildly rich, either. He was worth seven million bucks at most and the Saudis cut him off from that when he turned against their king. He probably has an income equivalent to a surgeon’s salary.

All of these would make fine Christmas gifts this year, not only to friends and family interested in current events, but to your high school, college, church, synagogue, and public library. These might be fine gifts to the troops, too.

Readers of HA may be very familiar with the threat of Jihad, but this film puts it together in an incredibly informative, convincing and shocking package (I have a professional involvement in this problem and have also read intensively and followed the blogs on these matters for several years. Obsession can be described as a 21st century version of the WWII “Why We Fight” films which familiarized a generation of American soldiers with the threat of fascism. It is the best available briefing on Jihad for the general public.

The movie’s makers could use money from sales of the DVD to help get it to America’s screens, TV stations, and stores.

The guys are (rightly) trying to recoup their costs. To date all the online versions have been posted in breach of their copyright and have been removed from YouTube at the makers request.

Can’t really blame them: the other side has the greatest unearned wealth in history to finance their lies and propaganda and our side can’t even make a few dollars to finance a talking heads movie.
