AP, your last link under the "giggle" (I think the entire blogosphere should soon be aware of AP's favorite photo simply by the term "The Giggle") was an interesting read, but I question the source.

Philip James is a former Democratic party strategist

I think the Guardian's title of the bit is telling...

Democrat chameleons target bible belt

Chameleons hide their true form by attempting to blend in to their surroundings, appearing to belong.

Connect the dots, and sometime around December 2004 the democrats started hunting for candidates without published stances on "values" issues. For months, the post-election analysis showed the democrats unwilling to accept the truth of what beat them, and now the largest contingent of pro-life, pro-gun democrats to exist in decades is campaigning against vulnerable republicans?

Don't drink the Kool-aid! Prevent a Speaker Pelosi.

Notice how he goes from “each and every administration” to “the administration’s”? They try to come across as being bipartisan and fair, but they always let it slip.

You're giving them too much credit. I see "each and every" modifying "lie" rather than "administration."

The Department of Peace -

Domestically, the Department of Peace would address violence in the home, spousal abuse, child abuse, gangs, and police-community relations conflicts, and would work with individuals and groups to achieve changes in attitudes that examine the mythologies of cherished world views, such as "violence is inevitable" or "war is inevitable." Thus, it will help with the discovery of new selves and new paths toward peaceful consensus.

Pelosi should have to say that along with impeachment, the investigation of the controlled demolition of the WTC is off the table.

So, does anyone know of any polling less than a week old in Maryland? I really want Steele to win that race.

The answer is obvious: Kucinich is in line to chair the Government Oversight subcommittee on International Relations, National Security and Emerging Threats, which will bring out the truth about each and every Administration lie which led us into war, into fear, into a roll back of our civil liberties. Under his chairmanship, people in Washington will at last be held accountable for their misdeeds. The truth will come out about 911, the war in Iraq and how the Administration’s policies and actions have directly put America in more danger

Thanks for the quote, RW.

So let’s please not derail this momentum by going on Fox News, criticizing Republicans’ campaigns, such as Allen’s, which will only put Republicans on the defensive and energize moonbats. Think of how ecstatic Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, etc. will be if Dems win. Let’s not give dems any ammunition by criticizing fellow conservatives before the election.

This from Associated Press:
Flaming cars became a symbol of the rioting last year, which jolted France into recognizing a failure to give equal opportunities to many minorities — especially those of Arab and black African origin — and the country's 5 million-strong Muslim population.

So who's going to run the committee to investigate what really happened on 9/11?

I ran across some fundraising letter on DU from Kucinich whining about being swiftboated and promising that with the new majority he will chair some investigative subcommittee. Found it on his page -

The truth will come out about 911, the war in Iraq and how the Administration's policies and actions have directly put America in more danger.

I am confident that these hypothetical investigations led by the Dhimmis would of course be non-partisan, fair, and impartial. These guys would never. use said hearings for political purposes. Talk about fiddling while Rome is burning.

It took Dorgen this long to start thinking about checking out why the "pre-war intel" wasn't very good?

What's he been doing for the past three years?

What's he been waiting for?

Typical ineffectual Congressional doofus.

If they want to investigate pre-war intel, I suggest they start with the 12 years of Democrats making a stronger case than Bush ever did. I always particularly enjoy Clinton's case for military action. I once posted it, with "Clinton" replaced with "The President", just to mess with liberal readers, before I broke the bad news to them at the end.

But it’s in the Senate where I’m going to go out on a limb. All the close races? The ones in Virginia, Montana, Tennessee, Ohio, New Jersey, Maryland, and Missouri? We’re going to run the table except for one. I bet Ohio’s where we go down. In Pennsylvania or Michigan, either the brave Santorum or the increasingly impressive Bouchard will pull off the major upset. And in Rhode Island, heads they win, tails we lose. I personally hope the voters return Lincoln Chafee to private life where he’ll no doubt make a profound contribution to society as an eccentric philatelist or something along those lines.

Remember in 2002 on Election Night when the good news kept coming? I’m getting the sense it’s going to be a lot like that on November 7.

So let's please not derail this momentum by going on Fox News, criticizing Republicans' campaigns, such as Allen's, which will only put Republicans on the defensive and energize moonbats. Think of how ecstatic Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, etc. will be if Dems win. Let's not give dems any ammunition by criticizing fellow conservatives before the election.

Dave makes a good point; there have been a few stories like this too. I think part of it is to make a D majority a bit more palatable. But, if they are social/econ conservatives, party doesn't matter so much to me. How they vote does. Pelosi is a dictator in the house, how will she treat them if they don't vote properly?

Thank for for bluedogs. Democrats need a trip back to sanity. Republicans need to understand that conservatives aren't guaranteed R votes, too and start becoming small government again.

It's possible. But it's more likely, in my opinion, that the editors at the LA Times are trying to make a Dem majority a bit more palatable to the voters a week and a half out of an election.
