If it was men doing The Vent, instead of these ladies, it would be treated much differently by the left/moderate media.

But then again, real men probably don’t watch The View and have no real reason to do something like The Vent.

The Vent really is a great forum for the “Real Ladies” out there needing a voice to contrast the nutty women on The View.

It feels like the entire dem-o-left movement has been taken control of people that love to talk and agree about how evil Bush&Co are. And thanks to the internet and media in general, they turn into this giant windtunnel where all you can hear is varying degrees of BDS.

I’m of the opinion we need a strong, sane and sober Dem party in addition to the Repubs. For, you know… balance, maybe.

She’s not ready to be a conservative yet, by any means, but once you start listening to conservatives, instead of just screaming at them, it’s easy to become swayed by the force of the ideas–not to mention the fact that most of what liberals are pushing comes from premises which were once part of some propaganda campaign. For example, Michael J. Fox’s “Republicans are against cures for Parkinson’s” ad, would calcify into an axiomatic truth about Republicans–”Well, you know, everybody knows the Republicans hate people with disabilities.” Someone like KP wouldn’t fall for that kind idiocy, and the more the libs push that kind of thing, the more she’s going to find herself objecting to them and their tactics. So ultimately, I’m agreeing with the “backing into conservatism by backing away (in horror) from liberalism” idea mentioned above. Hey, it worked for me. I voted Gore in ‘00 (the year, not his IQ), and Bush in ‘04.

LOL. I guess living in a conservative state, though polarized small town because the National Outdoor Leadership School headquarters is here makes that funny to me. The NOLS students are referred to as “Nolsies” around here and most of the time you can smell them before you even see them :) As funny as that is to type … I’m completely serious — their BO can make you throw up in your mouth a little.

The libs who become conservatives are forced by rational thought to accept the success of conservative principles. It doesn’t have any eternal consequences but it puts an end to the internal cognitive dissonance that all libs have to live with.

But she’s smart not to parrot the Donk talking points. The mere REALIZATION that no one’s listening to Dean-speak puts her ahead of the rest of the pack. (Which is a good thing, because if you’re not at the head of the pack, your …ahem……VIEW doesn’t change much. :)

It’s not that they don’t understand the talk radio industry; they don’t understand capitalism. It’s a much more fundamental disconnect.

Liberals become conservative by backing into it…. because they are backing away from the Nuts out there on the far left…. and keep backing… and backing… until they look around and realize that they have become conservative…

I do my penance by forcing myself to go to KO’s and ThinkProgress to see what I may have been.

KP is one classy liberal. She’s about 15 years late to the party, though, I think.

In this case I think that 15 years too late means she’s actually ahead of her time.

Air America failed because they never bothered to understand the talk radio industry before trying to build a talk radio network.

Because they started out of the gate with a massive, nationwide radio network from day 1. Because they blew through tons of financing to promote and pay for big name hosts, facilities, and frequencies from day one. Because they never bothered to pay attention to what potential listeners thought of their programming, instead shoving Randy Rhodes down their throats.

Because they know better what people want to hear. They know that people just can’t flip over to another station to hear a view opposing Elder, Medved, Hewitt, Limbaugh, etc.

And what they found is that, yes, people can find other views on other stations and get them without having to listen to BDS and conspiracy theories while driving to/from the office.
