A brilliant project, and not at all cockamamie. In retrospect, HotAir.com was the obvious next step in the Malkin franchise. First, column. Then TV. Then Web site. Then books. Then blog. (I may have the order confused.) Now, the vlog.

It’s about branding and complementarity.

Next? I suggest: A huge 4th of July blog convention/party, the right-wing answer to YearlyKos.

There is no conservative blogger on the planet who would want to miss a Malkin-organized 2-day event, say July 3-4, featuring panels, seminars, book signings, appearances by talk-radio hosts, Fox TV personalities, perhaps an ‘08 presidential wannabe or two … Sort of a summer mini-CPAC with an online focus?

HAPPY (half) BIRTHDAY HOTAIR!

I’ve been registered since day one, at first I wasn’t quite sure what to make of it (I heard about it through Lucianne.com) but now I’m HOOKED! Mrs.737 just said “Will you PUT that thing away?” That ‘thing’ being my phone, I read HotAir on my cell phone which means I can take you everywhere I go (which is all over the U.S.A.). Keep up the great work, I love being ahead of the news curve! Thank you HotAir!
