Lamont whines to FEC about Lieberman petty cash
posted at 7:07 pm on October 23, 2006 by Ian
Ned Lamont’s campaign filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission on Monday, accusing Sen. Joe Lieberman of failing to account for $387,000 in petty cash his campaign spent days before the Democratic primary. The Lieberman campaign has denied any wrongdoing.
“The public has a right to know how nearly $400,000 in cash was spread around the streets of Connecticut,” said Lamont campaign co-chairman George Jepsen at a news conference.
Hollyweirdo and Lamont propagandist Jane Hamster goes after Joe.

I’m lamenting over Lamont.
Anyone remember the movie, The Three Amigos?

DU was hypothesizing that the $$$ was used to pay out of state signature gatherers for the petition to put Lieberman on the ballot as an independent. Evidently, signature gatherers need to be state residents. The money was not properly accounted in order to hide the illegal signature gatherers. It would be quite funny to see Lieberman win, and then have Lamont sue, alleging that Lieberman was on the ballot illegally and should be disqualified. I would love to see the Dems reconcile that with the sacred “voter intent.”

They are just prepping the media for the voter fraud story they will be spinning after Joe L. cleans Lamont’s clock. Straight out of the Donk playbook.

No Prepping the Media…. The story is already written and the ink hasn’t yet dried.

I say again; in a month people will be saying “Ned who?” Neddie will be a sad footnote for the defeatist left movement.

I’m guessing Lamont campaign volunteers will have 1 of 2 destinies after the election:
1) jump from tall buildings
2) Join the “Yihad” in Venezuela

I heard that Liberman secretly gave the money to Obama so he can pull on Billary what Liberman is pulling on Lamont.

Geez Joe, you could’ve hid the funds better if you hadn’t have actually listed the expenditures in the official FEC report! /sarcasm off
Lamont is grasping at straws. I hope Joe takes him by 20 points.

Smells like…desperation! I love it!

You gotta wonder what the petty cash donation levels from Soros and Kos would amount to…

The Hamster needs to stay on the wheel and make occasional pellets…oh I’m sorry, that’s what the article amounts to.

Are you sure Ms. Hamsher is a hollyweirdo? I’ve got her classified as hipster-dufus.

“The payments are listed in Lieberman’s primary campaign spending report filed with the Federal Election Commission.”

Joe is going to take more than 20 points in the actual election I think. He’s a bit more liberal than I can stomache in some areas, but he’s smart enough to know that we’ve been at war since 9/11.
He supports our war efforts (including surveillance), unlike his challengers. Lamont screams about bringing the troops home now and even went so far as a disgusting political ad reading off names of CT troops killed in action.
Do I as a CT citizen (and a Vet) grieve for those troops? You bet. To the point of tears. But using their names to push a political agenda pisses me off. No matter the grief I feel, I always remember the fact (yes, fact) that those brave troops volunteered (just as I once did) to potentially die for their country. Therefore, their names have no place whatsoever in a political campaign. No matter their political views, they chose service to country; and their sacrifice demands more than being pawns for some political hack.
Tonight, in the debate, Schleisinger mentioned habeas corpus for WoT detainees. Sorry, but I cannot get behind that. The United States is in no way obligated to extend habeas corpus to anyone captured outside our borders. Nor are we as a nation obligated to extend treaty obligations to those who have not signed the treaty (Geneva Accords).
If Lamont is worried about Joe buying votes, he need not bother. I never saw a dime of the “nearly $400,000.” I’m still not going to vote a scumbag opportunist who tries to exploit the deceased (who volunteered for service to country) into office over someone who realizes we are in a global war.

Wait, Lamont’s crying foul? I thought he was going to cakewalk to victory. Kos said so. So did the DNC.
Oops. Kiss that referendum goodbye.

Desperado!
“Where’d the dough go, Joe?” – in politics on a senatorial level $387,000 is peanuts, not real dough.
This from such a rich guy? He could give it to the Lieberman camp as a charitable gesture and shut up. /goofy

Definately a sign of deep desperation.
“He’s dead, Jim.”

God I’m glad Lamont won the primary. Not only did this take Lieberman nominally out of the Democrat camp into the independent realm which may (wishful thinking, perhaps) make him a bit PO’d and give him a bit of freedom to vote a bit more conservatively than he has in the past… but, satisfyingly, this will cost Lamont $10-15 million and will be a failure for “screw them” ‘Kos.
Christoph on October 24, 2006 at 3:28 AM
This must confuse the hell out of Lamont when his political objective is the exact opposite, 10-fold.
