It’s impossible for the modern ideologue to trump and kill an argument without having a source with letters after their names. One is forced, in the absence of sheepskin, to use substance…you know…sound information derived from impartial and dispassionate research.

…tell me…in the face of all this blather about our nation’s butcher’s bill, has anyone bothered to tot up how many folks standing in lines for jobs, driving down the street, worshipping in mosques, or just hanging around being the wrong sort of Iraqi the “freedom fighters” have killed?

How many have we had to kill in Iraq? Too many. How many more will we kill? Not nearly enough.

A few days ago I saw a clip of Olbermann talking to Bill Clinton after the latest Global Initiative rally. Olberman quietly said the rally was “transcendent”. Then he offered Clinton a check for his contribution almost as if he was not worthy. It almost seemed reverent, and I half expected Ol’ B to get on his knees and grovel. Of course, good ol’ Slick Willie had a big smile on his face, just eating up the near-worship. Very, very creepy.

Indeed! What about “separation of church and state”? I’m sure Georgetown receives public funding, so where’s the outrage? Because you know if a Republican made a similar comparison using Biblical examples, the Dims would be howling about it (it’s what they do), and it would be yet another “scandal” that we’d have to hear about for a month.
