This race is basically a referendum on the war within the Democratic party. Say what you like about Joe Lieberman but he is willing to stand with his country in a time of war. That’s good enough in my book. It seems to be enough for Democratic voters in Connecticut.

BTW I’m not an American. I live in Ireland. I just follow American politics closely.

I love how the nutroot Neddy Lamont supporters flip flop on poll data. From one of the nuttier of the nutroots, Hint-lets just say the lake is more like a mud hole.

Polling is only a snapshot of the people that the poll taker chooses to put in the frame. What matters most is who is motivated to head to the voting booth. It’s true for CT, and for the rest of the nation. That’s why getting out our vote is critical — and why we should all be concentrating on those efforts, and less at trying to pick our candidates — and each other — apart down the stretch.

In case anyone missed Rosie vs. Bill O’Reilly, here is the link from the vault.

The relevant parts are when O’Reilly tells her that Joe L. is going to beat Lamont, and Rosie defiantly, if cluelessly, states ‘No he won’t.’ Several times if I recall. Then Bill wants to make a bet with Rosie, but she declines stating that she gave all her money to Lamont. There was a fiscally wise decision.

No matter what happens in the general election, we’ll always have Connecticut…
