One of the worst political ads ever:

I don’t think I would ever say this, but this advertisement is not as annoying as the real Head On ad. (via ODub)

Republican Senate candidate from WV John Raese has a new ad using Robert “Big Daddy” Byrd’s words against him. (via reader Brandon)

Blowback

No kidding. I think the Head On commercial repeats itself at least forty more times.

This ain’t yo daddy’s Democratic party*!

Sidebar. The head on stuff doesn’t work at all. I have migraines and it just makes you smell bad. That’s all. Just like democrats, they smell bad and don’t work either.

What someone needs to make is a terrorist commercial of this vain. Show a terrorist or something.

Terrorists. Apply directly to the neck.
Terrorists. Apply directly to the neck.
Etc Etc for 20 seconds.

Not enough people seem to get that point at all ;)

*** WARNING !!! ***

DO NOT watch this after eating.

ugh. I think I’m gonna be sick.

I’ve actually reconsidered this now! Check this! Brilliant political analysis.

The original head on commercial offers a product but no solution at all. We aren’t even sure why the person is rubbing it on their head. But you are told to do so, so you do.

Same with the democrats, they offer a prodcut but no solution at all. No one is sure why they should be elected. We aren’t sure why they should be, but we are told we should, so we probably will.

Unintentionally, this ad sums up the entire democrat campaign this year! A problem, but no solution.

lorien1973 on October 19, 2006 at 6:56 PM

That is the gayest thing I’ve ever seen. And worse than the idea is the fact that they chose a narrator that sounds a lot like Sheehan (especially in the beginning of the ad)

If you don’t want a cheap and maybe juvenile (non-political) laugh, don’t click here

batperez on October 19, 2006 at 7:39 PM

Democrats.org PAID for that? *LOLOLOLOL* Now THAT is funny!

labwrs on October 19, 2006 at 7:51 PM

Rove wrote this ad, I just know it.

Here are the side effects they failed to mention from the DNC website:

Could cause: Hearing loss, hair loss, nausea, high taxes, unemployment (this could be due to one or all of the following: high minimum wage, illegal immigrants or high cost of benefits to gay lovers), anal and oral leakage, spontaneous shouting of states followed by campaign implosion, a browbeating from the Rainbow Coalition, a strange lust for large interns, and gas.

On the bright side, in smaller print, it does state that if you experience all or some of the above, then John Kerry will personally deliver you a purple heart.

Worst

Ad

Ever

Mortis on October 19, 2006 at 8:49 PM

Could they have spent less money or found more inferior talent than this ad reveals?

thedecider on October 19, 2006 at 8:57 PM

Please tell me this is a joke?

Bob's Kid on October 19, 2006 at 9:28 PM

“Please tell me this is a joke?”

I think it is a joke … on the Dems! He Hee!

But seriously, does this seem at all familiar in light of the mindless chanting we heard from the hippie wannabees that attacked the Minuteman speech? What was it …”Nazi’s Racists, KKK …”?

ValhallaMike on October 20, 2006 at 12:38 AM

Let me get this straight, they took what was quite probably the stupidest and most ineffectual (I don’t know what the stuff is for, but if I ever had what it cures, I would look for something else) commercial ever, and the Dems thought it would be a good idea to emulate it?

I just tried to think of what would have to be going through the mind of whoever made this commercial (and the HeadOn one, for that matter), and I’m now dumber for it!

Wolfman on October 20, 2006 at 4:14 AM

Sounds more like a commerical for Preparation H. And you’d get about the same results.

Somebody already thought about it in advance.

I seriously didn’t realize this was a real Dem ad till after I saw the end with the web site.

Attila (Pillage Idiot) on October 20, 2006 at 12:42 PM

Worst. AD. Ever. EVER.
LOL!!

opusrex on October 21, 2006 at 9:56 AM

The Head On ad makes me want to avoid the product like the plague. This ad makes me want to avoid the Democrats even more than that.
