I think Cohen is hilarious… his is that special intelligent brand of “gutter humor” (if that makes any sense). But, as a conservative I think I would be remiss if I didn’t call out the Kazakh government for appeasement!

I had caught a few tid bits about this nut over the past few months but this was the first extended clip for me. I too found it quite funny. Would 90 minutes worth be too much? I’m sure, I love Mr. Bean also, but even 90 minutes of him can make you crazy. Funny too, I kept expecting Borat minus a big cigar to say, ” Okay John, say the magic word and the duck will come down and give you 200 dollars…..In reference to You Bet Your Life with Groucho Marx for you young peoples.

where he will quickly be beheaded and disemboweled in a stadium full of cheering muslims. He better politely refuse their gracious invite.

I am going to go out on a limb here on my first post of HotAir. (Bless Allah for opening the comments. Finally.) I think I am the only one here who has visited Kazakhstan. My wife was born there and she still has some family and friends there although, being ethnically Russian, a lot of them moved back to the Rodina.

Personally I would love to see Cohen go to Kazakhstan. I would love to see him being arrested. Enjoy that Kazakh sense of humor, funnyboy. Kazakhs have a huge inferiority complex. Stalin moved so many Russians into Kazakhstan that by the time the wall fell they were in the majority and the Kazakh culture and language were on the wane. Since then they have made up for it in a big way including barring Russians from a lot of gov’t jobs. Cohen hit a raw nerve with this character. First, he looks like a Russian and, second, he is ripping on them. The average Kazakh has asiatic features. One more thing, the gov’t there is old school. Don’t eff with the police. Don’t even look at them strange. Yes, Borat in Kazakhstan would be a laugh riot if you thought Saw was a comedy.

I think I could handle 90 minutes…

But then again, I’m one of those guys that still laughs at the fart jokes. There’s a certain amount of growing up that I refuse to do. Fight the System!!! Guilty pleasures such as South Park, and children being attacked by wayward cats on YouTube will always have a special place in my heart.
