How Biblical would these disasters have to be to get the gavel in Nancy Pelosi’s hand?

One shudders to imagine.

If those polaroids of Dick Cheney’s ‘Night Of The Screaming Cougar’ didn’t do them any good, then its no wonder they have to start making things up about more innocuous members of Congress.

Just a question here, but if Democrats throw enough of these claims out there, will it not only reduce the import of those cases that actually happened (the Democrats thinking that if it worked once, it can keep working, even when there was no inappropriate physical contact), but actually make it easier to ignore the pedarasts and actual physically inappropriate behavior? Like a boy who cries wolf too many times – you simply ignore the behavior until something truly horrible happens.

Are the Democrats setting themselves up to be hit with the law of unintended consequences. Do they think that they caucus doesn’t have pedophiles and others whose skeletons are as bad as, or possibly worse than, GOPers? Glass houses and all that.

Good strategy. First, generalize it to the whole delegation, for some free broad-brush stroking, then set a target out as focus. Whether this thing has any truth is almost inconsequential. This practice won’t work, of course, unless:

a) You have the MSM in your pocket, and they still enjoy some status as “Messinger”, and

b) Your opponents polling numbers are historically low at election time.

This last one is part p.r. fault, and part deserved. Washington D.C. has not lived up to even low expectations, lately. Both sides.

Call me a defeatist, but I think we’re finished for 2006. Apparently (R) Heather Wilson down in New Mexico, who is holding one of those super-needed seats for a Dem win in November, is now being accused of hiding her husband’s police file on him molesting a babysitter or some crap like that. The accusations are now flooding the local media. She was already behind in the polls. It won’t matter if the charges are partisan, true or false, it’ll be enough to can her. That’s another guaranteed seat. And if Weller’s accusations hit the front pages, he’s finished too. Two more seats.

God I hate the media, and I hate some of our politicians. Stupid bastards. This is really getting depressing.

They want to win this on the issues. But if they can’t do that, they’ll happily win it on child predation.

I hope that that entire paragraph is intended as a joke, not just the second part. What issue didd the Dems want to win on? What issue have they taken a position on and shown their plan to do it? They don’t campaign on “issues”, they try to hide the one thing they agree on: tax hikes. They campaign on “Bush lied” “Wrong direction” “New day!” “Wrong track”, etc. etc.

I have it on good authority that the “Blue Wave” the Dems are riding is actually composed of that blue liquid from Repulican Port-A-Potties that they keep snooping around in.

At least that’s what my anonymous source(s) told me. Considering the smell eminating from the DNC actions, I suspect theirs more than a grain of truth to it.

Maybe we could all start sending Roto-Rooter gift certificates to Democrats as a response to their actions?

I don’t know many things, but I do know Jerry Weller. He is my congressman, and has been since I moved into his district in 1999. The guy ain’t a pedophile. Unless he resigns over this, I would assume that this is another in the string of (mostly manufactured) “October Surprises” that the Democrats submit in lieu of any actual belief system.

Weller’s district is solidly GOP; this is about three things, as Rush would say: 1) Depress GOP turnout; 2) Depress GOP turnout; and 3) Depress GOP turnout.

Karl Rove is optimistic, and if this rumor comes to life, I will make it a primary mission in life to get to the polls to vote straight GOP.

What was this on Hannity & Colmes last night about the very Foley-esque like behavior of Ted Strickland and a campaign aide back in the mid 90’s? Bill Cunningham was the guest talking about it and it sounds alot worse than what Foley did…just wondering why we haven’t seen it anywhere yet?
