dKos: New page scandal breaking

Or rather: “NEW PAGE SCANDAL BREAKING.” Supposedly it’s Jerry Weller of Illinois, who, and I quote, “sort of looks like a leerer.”
This guy’s hearing things, too.
They want to win this on the issues. But if they can’t do that, they’ll happily win it on child predation.
A win’s a win, but what do we conclude if this pans out and they don’t win big? Like, fifty-seats big? What more would it take for a decisive Democratic majority in Congress? Stock market crash? Bird flu epidemic? How Biblical would these disasters have to be to get the gavel in Nancy Pelosi’s hand?
Dana Milbank told the Olberdouche last night that there are rumors floating around about a 16-year-old girl. Tough break for Dean-o, if so. After all, “IT’S THE HOMOS, STUPID.”
Exit question, per Dean-o: “Are … Republican negros also gay?”

If this is true, doesn’t this solidify the fact that the Dems knew this information in advance and held onto it for maximum effect thus endangering the lives of children?
Gosh, dKos seems to think that’s a-ok!

Leerer?
Oh, I get it.
Because it’s salacious sounding and though it rhymes with queer-er, it doesn’t clumsily give away the very surreptitious Master Plan – IT’S THE HOMOS, STUPID.
Stephen M on October 19, 2006 at 2:55 AM
And oh yeah, proper leftoids can’t ever say people look… well, hardly anything. But especially gay.
Or Jewish. Especially criminals. Especially if they’re still at large having only recently committed their crimes. D’oh! Alleged crimes. Anyway, the leftoids must have determined that their leerer constituancy is really small – at any rate too small to give them an edge in any congressional district.

Ever since the days when Dimocrats called him Jew Lieberman nothing surprises me anymore.

DKOS assclown writes: “Gonna have to trust me on this…”
Not a chance.
This sounds like another attempt at an “October Surprise,” but I suspect that this time the Republicans are ready for them. Rove and Hastert would be fools to not have a counterstrike ready.
What this proves is that Democrats are too stupid to learn from their mistakes. “Foleygate” didn’t work and appears to be in the process of backlashing. So what do the morons at DKOS do? Don’t that call such behavior — repeating something that failed hoping for a different result — “insanity?”
georgej on October 19, 2006 at 3:57 AM
I hope they keep the sex scandal effort up as it will soon wear paper thin.
I wonder why it is that no one points out how it was liberals who made homosexual stalking legal, and homosexual exclusion illegal. Thanks to those efforts, the F.B.I is still not able to find any crime committed by Foley. Where is the outrage?
DannoJyd on October 19, 2006 at 6:58 AM
Ahhh…like this guy. Gotcha.
Pablo on October 19, 2006 at 8:02 AM
What they need in the bag is one of those Zucker ads exploiting how the Dems are obsessed with sex and well, not the actual issues at hand.

I hold the same amount of contempt for a Democrat who witholds information about child predators for political reasons as do a parent who lets their kid stay with Michael Jackson for “sleep overs” with the hope that they are molested and the family can reap a huge cash settlement.
Sick bastards.
natesnake on October 19, 2006 at 9:57 AM
The scandal is that people actually read his hate-filled screed AND take him seriously. “BDS” sufferers need a “quiet room time-out”.
tormod on October 19, 2006 at 10:07 AM
If they are riding the “blue wave”, why are they so desperate? Why is Mzz. Pelosi in hiding?
SouthernGent on October 19, 2006 at 10:10 AM
It is 7:30 am on the west coast and nothing on Drudge about an imminent scandal breaking. No red sirens, no red fonts. DKos couldn’t be making it up could they????
Mallard T. Drake on October 19, 2006 at 10:32 AM
They should be encouraged in their witchhunt. Let the voters see who they are.

All praise and Honor to you Lord Gerry Stubbs forever and ever!!!

What was this on Hannity & Colmes last night about the very Foley-esque like behavior of Ted Strickland and a campaign aide back in the mid 90’s? Bill Cunningham was the guest talking about it and it sounds alot worse than what Foley did…just wondering why we haven’t seen it anywhere yet?
canvas on October 19, 2006 at 11:07 AM
Kos should keep it coming. It only makes them look worse and worse. And I’m disappointed in Drudge. Nary a word about the gay witch hunt.
ahem on October 19, 2006 at 11:13 AM
There has to be more in the bag. When did they release Bush’s drunk driving reports? The biggest punch must come early enough to sink in, but close enough to the election so it is the freshest item in voter’s minds on election day.
Isn’t that about two weeks before election day?
It’s the Homos Stupid made me laugh out loud when I hit the ‘Contract’ line.
Politics is slime by the slimey

I remember Strickland hired a guy who had exposed himself to minors (Strick says he didnt know) and people have been spreading rumors about his orientation. He seems to be happily married and quite religious for a Democrat, though. Don’t see much in the way of scandal here.
RW Wacko on October 19, 2006 at 11:20 AM
I don’t know many things, but I do know Jerry Weller. He is my congressman, and has been since I moved into his district in 1999. The guy ain’t a pedophile. Unless he resigns over this, I would assume that this is another in the string of (mostly manufactured) “October Surprises” that the Democrats submit in lieu of any actual belief system.
Weller’s district is solidly GOP; this is about three things, as Rush would say: 1) Depress GOP turnout; 2) Depress GOP turnout; and 3) Depress GOP turnout.
Karl Rove is optimistic, and if this rumor comes to life, I will make it a primary mission in life to get to the polls to vote straight GOP.
conservativity on October 19, 2006 at 12:03 PM
What nonesense.
Is there some kind of law that liberals and SP’s (not democrats) must be morons?
accdat on October 19, 2006 at 12:04 PM
The hypocrisy of the left is astounding. I am amazed every day by the blatant lies and mis-direction that is spewed out from the left and takin as fact from the msm.
This is just the tip of the b.s. iceberg.
o yeah…and iowahawk rocks!!!!

What does this mean? He’s married to an elected official from Guatemala? Or she’s a U.S. Congresswoman of Guatemalan ancestry?
Dudley Smith on October 19, 2006 at 12:51 PM
If the Dems gain a majority of the House, they can reinstitute HUAC (Homo Outing Americans Committee) hearings. I can almost hear the examinations now…..”Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the Boy Scouts of America?”
George Bruce on October 19, 2006 at 1:51 PM
Comrades,
I have it on good authority that the “Blue Wave” the Dems are riding is actually composed of that blue liquid from Repulican Port-A-Potties that they keep snooping around in.
At least that’s what my anonymous source(s) told me. Considering the smell eminating from the DNC actions, I suspect theirs more than a grain of truth to it.
Maybe we could all start sending Roto-Rooter gift certificates to Democrats as a response to their actions?
Respects,

Sosa is still a leading member of Guatemala’s single-house, 158-member congress, and until earlier this year she sat on its foreign affairs committee, the counterpart to Weller’s committee.
Illinois Republican Jerry Weller is one of the most powerful men in Congress when it comes to Latin America. His wife is the most powerful woman in Guatemala’s controversial FRG party.

This association may be beneficial to the US efforts at the United Nations -if- Guatemala succeds in becoming a temporary member of the UNSC.
In the 22nd round today, when 120 votes would have been enough to secure victory, Guatemala received 102 votes and Venezuela 77. There were 12 abstentions. (Oct 17, 2006)

If this story were true, this would be an award winning photo.
RightWinged on October 19, 2006 at 3:21 PM
I hope that that entire paragraph is intended as a joke, not just the second part. What issue didd the Dems want to win on? What issue have they taken a position on and shown their plan to do it? They don’t campaign on “issues”, they try to hide the one thing they agree on: tax hikes. They campaign on “Bush lied” “Wrong direction” “New day!” “Wrong track”, etc. etc.
RightWinged on October 19, 2006 at 3:24 PM
Call me a defeatist, but I think we’re finished for 2006. Apparently (R) Heather Wilson down in New Mexico, who is holding one of those super-needed seats for a Dem win in November, is now being accused of hiding her husband’s police file on him molesting a babysitter or some crap like that. The accusations are now flooding the local media. She was already behind in the polls. It won’t matter if the charges are partisan, true or false, it’ll be enough to can her. That’s another guaranteed seat. And if Weller’s accusations hit the front pages, he’s finished too. Two more seats.
God I hate the media, and I hate some of our politicians. Stupid bastards. This is really getting depressing.
Grebrook on October 19, 2006 at 4:51 PM
That guy on PBS sort of looks like a leerer …
boru on October 19, 2006 at 5:21 PM
The public isn’t stupid. If they inundate voters with accusation after accusation, they’ll stop believing it… unless they come up with some proof.
DaveS on October 19, 2006 at 8:24 PM
Heh, boru. Quite an accent you have there.
PattyAnn on October 19, 2006 at 8:29 PM
Good strategy. First, generalize it to the whole delegation, for some free broad-brush stroking, then set a target out as focus. Whether this thing has any truth is almost inconsequential. This practice won’t work, of course, unless:
a) You have the MSM in your pocket, and they still enjoy some status as “Messinger”, and
b) Your opponents polling numbers are historically low at election time.
This last one is part p.r. fault, and part deserved. Washington D.C. has not lived up to even low expectations, lately. Both sides.
topmaker on October 19, 2006 at 9:49 PM
Just a question here, but if Democrats throw enough of these claims out there, will it not only reduce the import of those cases that actually happened (the Democrats thinking that if it worked once, it can keep working, even when there was no inappropriate physical contact), but actually make it easier to ignore the pedarasts and actual physically inappropriate behavior? Like a boy who cries wolf too many times – you simply ignore the behavior until something truly horrible happens.
Are the Democrats setting themselves up to be hit with the law of unintended consequences. Do they think that they caucus doesn’t have pedophiles and others whose skeletons are as bad as, or possibly worse than, GOPers? Glass houses and all that.
lawhawk on October 19, 2006 at 9:53 PM
How Biblical would these disasters have to be to get the gavel in Nancy Pelosi’s hand?
One shudders to imagine.
If those polaroids of Dick Cheney’s ‘Night Of The Screaming Cougar’ didn’t do them any good, then its no wonder they have to start making things up about more innocuous members of Congress.
