The EU is in its very essence an undemocratic institution. But really, who cares about Europe anymore, anyway? Their last tryst with totalitarian thinking by the locals will pass into history in two or three generations when the Mohammedan population hits 51%; then the new majority will put the last nail in the coffin of European democracy when it votes to impose the Sharia on everybody.

Let’s say this crap legislation is passed. Would it just be for domains “owned” by countries who accept it? What if a vlogger moved their site from a .de (Germany) domain to a .net (U.S.) domain? Or moved their site to servers in another country?

I think this proposed regulation is a load of crap, but unless they’re going to ban/block content outside the EU, how is it going to be anything more than an inconvenience to vloggers without global international cooperation?

Don’t get me wrong, it could turn into a “movement”, so it should be defeated, but I’m just wondering how they wouild go about enforcing it.

I seriously doubt it would pass in the U.S. If NAMBLA is protected media expression, according to the ACLU, then so is blogging…of any sort. If they were to start this kind of censorship here, there’d be riots.

The Politically Correct (aka Liberal Ideology) may be successful in limiting free speech that the Technocrats in Bussels do not like. Eurabia may become one of our worst enemies in the next 40 years as they are invaded and conquered by the Islamofacist.

The dodge is simple if it ever comes down to it. Charge a dollar a year to join the site and have a members only viewing area. Pay-per-view sort of which means the rules change for allowable content, unless the EU wants to try and lawyer up against a whole bunch of BIG $$$ content providers on and off the Internet…it still limits speech but it is a workable solution…dink about it.

On a related note, I have been follwoing Andy Kessler’s wonderful discussion of the future of media and programming distribution. If what he imagines being the next step comes to fruition, (i.e., no more hosted servers, but P2P seeds passing packets along a network) then what the EU does may become tecnologically irrelevant.

They are Godless human debris, dressed up in pretty clothes wagging their deceitful tongues to anyone that they can deceive. God speaks of them in the Bible, but no one reads it anymore, so I guess they go unrecognized by most people now a days. I found one of your very last statements of very important note here. You Tube will be “exempted”. Let me get this straight if they succeed in “protecting” all of the EU with this “law?” They will exempt the LARGEST offender?

My Ideas on this evoked some strong opinions by others. Maybe it is time we protected ourselves and let others get massacared so they can finally understand what is at stake here.
