Could it be that "The Professor Blather" is back? That makes me very happy. You were missed.

On Thursday the border agent who did his job will be given 10 years minimum; unless he wins the appeal later or gets pardoned by the Pres. he leave 3 children (6, 9 and 13) with working wife, barely making it, behind. That's our wonderous state of illegal immigration today.

And, yes, Bethany is always beautiful, no matter what the topic.

Welcome back Professor. Regards,

Hey, I always enjoy Michelle’s vents, but I hope she won’t take offense when I say,

“More Bethany, please.”

Ummm...Michelle who?

I didn’t really like this piece either, not that I can concentrate on anything she says. She is stunningly beautiful, and I’m a chick! It must be really difficult for you guys to maintain, you know…concentration.

CookeyD on October 17, 2006 at 11:19 AM

I have to agree, CookeyD. This wasn't one of my favorite clips as far as content, but I always appreciate seeing Bethany up there.

(Tech note — On my screen the video image is distorted such that it’s shown wider than the subject actually is. I resized my window to see if that was the trouble (I’m using a widescreen laptop), but the aspect ratio was unchanged. Is this a problem for others?)

DuffBeer on October 17, 2006 at 12:59 PM

It appears to me that the Bethany clips were recorded at a different ratio than HotAir - try putting black bars on the sides to fill it in rather than stretching poor Bethany.

Bryan, is it confidential, or can you reveal other possible candidates who will show up in Michelle’s living room?

Bethany gives the Press Play awards for humor in political ads.

I didn't think the skit was that funny, but it was worth watching....

Good Lord - this Bethany is stunning. I can’t find a single thing wrong with her. And howz she get her teeth so white?

Bryan you should add a CGI sparkle to her teeth when she smiles. That would be cool. And maybe a Halo with wings

....So Katie fell to 3rd in the nightly news ratings? Methinks CBS should give Bethany a buzz.

Prof. Blather, you can e-mail Michelle or the Hot Air staff with your tip...no need to put it in comments.

Where did Bethany's whiskey voice go?

You could splice her into "The Vent" by having her do <strike>man</strike>girl-on-the-street segments. She could be a field correspondent. 8)

I'd consider banning you for that.

The only suggestion I have is that of many - a volume control.

Bryan, I do have one request/suggestion on formatting your videos...

After watching the vent, I keep one Firefox window open on HotAir all day; checking every so often for any updates. Well, every time I switch Firefox tabs, I see Bethany's smiling face in the video window... I have to switch tabs again until my heart quits beating and my brain unscrambles.

So how about changing the video to put, say, Mother Sheehan on at the end? This will guarantee that I won't linger at the top of the page.

And the reason she wasn’t on The Vent? She lives two states away from where we shoot.

Can't you work some photoshop magic?

That's just a joke. I have no complaints except to wish this program continued success and it's own TV show. Powers was right when she said we should get our own conservative outlets. And Hot Air is doing a great job in this arena.

Actually, I couldn't have "kept Bethany on screen longer" by deleting the countdowns. They're inserted between the segments featuring Bethany, so there's no loss of screen time for the fair one by including them. Not a single frame.

I'm beginning understand now why Bethany wasn't part of The Vent. I'm sure that Bryan would continually pan-to and zoom-in-on "our" Bethany along the vector of an irresistable gravitationl pull much to the dismay of the other lovely ladies. Please note for future reference that if you had removed some of the countdown sequences, you could have kept Bethany on screen longer.

Don't worry Michelle, you're still #1 in our hearts.

.. and though I won't vote for him (I'll just probably stay home) Kinky is really cool .. the way he handled the Chris Bell "Please Withdraw" phone call .. priceless

When Katie Couric was soliciting ideas for a nightly signoff I thought, "All right America, now do you have a clue?" might be provocative enough for consideration.

Well, alright, maybe not after Ms Couric's reportage, but Bethany is certainly welcome to use it.

Then comes last week's South Park. You do the math.

(Tech note -- On my screen the video image is distorted such that it's shown wider than the subject actually is. I resized my window to see if that was the trouble (I'm using a widescreen laptop), but the aspect ratio was unchanged. Is this a problem for others?)
