Mike Rogers “outs” Senator Larry Craig as gay

Three kids, nine grandkids. Supposedly spending his leisure time in the men’s room at Union Station. Which Rogers claims he knows because he’s corroborated Craig’s “personal characteristics” with four of his alleged paramours.
The link goes to Patterico, by the way. You can follow his post to Rogers’s site if you’re curious.
It’s been said before but it bears repeating: the left always finds a way to shoot itself in the foot.
Patterico expects a backlash. So do I. In fact, I haven’t felt this motivated to vote in weeks.
Update: Definitely follow the link to Patterico. He’s updating by the moment and they’re getting better and better as they go.
Update: Slublog feels the fire anew!
Update: Dan Riehl plays the Kos kard.
Update: A double scoop of stupid:
U.S. Rep. Brad Miller chuckled through most of the first debate with his Republican challenger, who led a tense and often awkward discussion about sex-related issues Tuesday.
Vernon Robinson, who has run a series of brash advertisements about the two-term Democratic congressman, charged that Miller wants to import homosexuals to the United States and supported scientific studies that would pay teenage girls to watch pornography…
A bemused Miller countered by blasting Robinson for a campaign mailer that implicitly suggested the congressman was gay and criticized Miller for being “childless.” Miller’s wife had a hysterectomy more than two decades ago.
Update: If a U.S. Senator was going to have a tryst — especially a gay tryst — would he really do it in the men’s room of one of the busiest places in D.C.?
Update: Captain Ed: “People wonder why we don’t attract a wider range of qualified candidates for public office.”

Live it, believe it.

I dunno, but the wheels are certainly coming off!

Just checked Sullivan’s site.
As of 10:10 p.m., he is un-gob smacked by the news.

He’s a gay congressman
……………was I supposed to be offended?
Defector01 on October 17, 2006 at 10:31 PM
I don’t get this, perhaps someone can explain it to me. If I, as a republican, refuse to vote for a dem because he is gay, I am a homophobe, right? But if I refuse to vote for a repub because he is gay it’s okay?
I must be missing something important here because I surely do not get it.

At a time in history when terrorism threatens our existence as a western civilization, we are fast approaching a crucial election that has all the signs of being heavily influenced by who’s gay, who’s not and who’s outing who.
This is not only sad and pathetic; it is selfish, childish and harmful to the Republic.
But it’s where this path of jousting for power, only for powers sake, has taken us.

Still voting that straight Dhimmi ticket cuz the Repugs haven’t earned a win?

The flaming bag of poo is on the porch…the defeatocrats have opened the door…will they step in it?
SouthernGent on October 17, 2006 at 10:52 PM
They may soon run out of Republicans.
If this be true I think we should be more concerned about the men’s room at Union Station.

Here’s a list of candidates who have ties to the Daily Kos.
Maybe time to exert a little pressure of our own?

Yeah, those peni are as different as fingerprints, I tell you. No two alike.

LARRY CRAIG: Coming out of the water-closet.
GAY ABANDONMENT: Going back in the closet.

This time it might be in the head…
Good – now pull us back up. And don’t post that it’s for Pelosi because she’s from SF and a nice lady, and she really loves gays.
The Left needs to be obliterated and reconstructed before it can claim to be a viable party again. How do the Clintons feel about this? And Dean? And Reid?

Wow. I’m actually aroused about politics again. To borrow a line from Goldstein: My nipples? Huge.

If they’ve got their hearts set on outing gays, couldn’t they at least out the gay jihadis? Is that too much to ask?
rw on October 18, 2006 at 4:57 AM
No, you get it. It’s BECAUSE OF THE HYPOCRISY!!!

I had a feeling this backlash would happen, and I doubt that it is limited to just the conservatives. Homosexuals cannot be happy with homophobia being encouraged.
I have yet to succeed in viewing Patterico’s site. Hopefully that is due to his message getting out, and thus keeping his site swamped with viewers.
DannoJyd on October 18, 2006 at 10:13 AM
I’m waiting for Scott Ott to out Andrew Sullivan.
Bellicose Muse on October 18, 2006 at 12:03 PM
Danno, h/t, as they say in the blog-world, for blazing this trail. You were indeed one of the first to post this, here, repeatedly. When you’re right, you’re right!
Looks like Mr. Studds’ husband, the young’un (Studds 67, husband 48) won’t get a congressional pension. The recent ‘death in the family’ might raise questions…

I going to hope that you aren’t “curious” AP. Just because you may never have a chance with KP doesn’t mean you need to start being “curious”.
