President Bush signed the interrogation/tribunal law today.
And the ACLU whined.
When you think about November, it’s very tempting to just give in and wish a pox on the Republicans. They’ve given convervatives about a dozen reasons to do so. And it’s possible that by attaining some power, the Democrats would be forced to grow up and accept some responsibility for leadership in the war. But deep down, you know how they would read a win. They would read it as a repudiation of Bush and “his” war on terrorism, and would move en masse against him and the war.
The Democrats would not have passed the law that the president signed today. They would have sided with the ACLU, forcing a kid gloves approach to interrogations and granting captured enemy war criminal combatants full constitutional rights.
The Republicans may not have given us many reasons to want them to win, but the Democrats’ default policies and general worldview remain a reason to hope that they lose.

finally. well, the terorrist appeaser Democrats & ACLU can whine all they want. the fact the matter is that terrorists will no longer have the same rights as Americans do & the democrats & the ACLU is very upset about that their terrorists pals will have no rights whatsoever, well to quote Michelle Malkin – “Boo-freakin’-Hoo”

So why not vote third party? The Constitution Party might be a good fit for you, Bryan. It’d send a stronger message to Republicans than staying home.

Too bad we can’t just walk away and let them rot. They are good for nothing anyway. Maybe they could eat each other as time goes on. I’m sure they could figure out how to justify it in their faith. Why not, they justify everything else.

We don’t go to the polls with the party we want, we go to the polls with the party we got. And if you want a muscular foreign policy, one that Frankie Pentangelli might advocate, you gotta hold your nose and vote Republican. Third parties don’t so much as exist as they stage brief revolts that force the hand of the party they cripple in that election cycle. Look at the animosity that some leftwingers harbor towards their natural allies the Greens. In a Parlimentary style of government, they would work together and build a ruling coalition. In America, that isn’t possible. A regional party or a nascent third party is eventually going to get crushed by the Republicrats and the Democans.

The only message that’ll be sent is: “It’s okay to ban guns, raise taxes, defund the war on terror, disband the military, expand welfare, and purchase new burkas for our women,” cause the Democrats will be in power.
THAT’S THE MESSAGE YOU SEND WHEN YOU VOTE 3rd PARTY. Which was the SAME message that was sent when people voted for Ross Perot. Or have you forgotten Bill Clinton?
Read again what Bryan wrote:

And then you kiss good by this blog because they won’t hesitate to shut down Michelle Malkin….

isn’t that violating Michelle’s “free speech” if they (liberal Democrats) shut down her blog ? and i thought liberal democrats were for “free speech” that they keep advocating.

and yet liberal democrats keep denying that they’re not terrorist appeasers & here’s more proof that they are.

We are stuck between a rock and a feckless GOP.
Michelle needs to think about running…

If you don’t want socialism, don’t stay home.
lostmyleggins on October 17, 2006 at 7:26 PM
Who said anything about staying home? Like a lot of people I like my local Republicans but am unenthused about them on a national scale. That doesn’t mean I’m going to stay home and hand the reins over to the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Alcee Hastings.

Bryan, please have a tête-à-tête with Allah and Michelle and get them engaged to encourage their readership to do the same.

We are not torturing prisoners. We are not ripping off finger nails. stabbing, maiming, beating. We are dunking their heads in water. We did that as kids in my friends pool when we’d get pissed of at someone. Trust me, it’s not that bad. Getting grilled by a women is a different story (when you’re not in prison).
Which brings me to my next point. It’s degrading to be in prison. It’s degrading to have Bubba “have you” when you’re not into that kind of thing. Spare me the ‘prison shouldn’t be degrading’ bit.
How about that prison in texas where all the uniforms, the walls… everything, is pink. The prisoners get out and don’t commit crimes because they are afraid they’ll get caught and be forced to where pink again.
