This is the most embarrassing moment at a podium since Dan Quayle’s speech to the NAACP. If only Quayle had just fainted instead of so hilariously mutilating the organization’s catch phrase at the time, “A mind is a terrible thing to waste,” into “What a terrible thing it is to lose one’s mind.”
As for the speaker in the video, if they let it play further, I think it shows roadies draping a towel over his shoulders and helping him off the stage, only to have him get his second wind and race back to the mike. Or was that James Brown? Either way, what a showman.
