[...] I encountered an interesting question in a blogger who was reviewing other bloggers writing about yesterday’s debate: Isn’t it kind of funny that most of the popular liberal bloggers write Schlesinger won the debate. It’s like someone is telling them what to write or something. [...]

"HuffPo’s already working on the empty suit’s concession speech."

Well, I read it and it's rather lame and doesn't really express the disappointment that Lamont would actually feel, IMHO.

So, I went to the DUmmie site. I tried to get in their heads and feel as they would feel if their hero, Ned Lamont, lost. After all, this election is a major thing for them. This is their collective and PERSONAL validation. This was supposed to be proof that being whiny anti-war loudmouths and Bush-hating blowhards can actually get a candidate elected.

So after about 30 seconds (out of the mandatory 2 minutes of Bush-hate that they all go through each day), I think I captured their emotions and turned it into a concession speech for Lamont THAT THEY would write, if they were allowed to. It probably would go something like this:

[Disclaimer -- rough language follows which may not be appropriate for young children, and old nuns.]

[Second Disclaimer -- this is a simulation, it is not real. Okay, maybe it might be real on 11/7, but it's only a possible happening, in the moonbat alternate universe.]

[Third Disclaimer -- no animals were hurt during the making of this faux speech. Read this at your own risk. Management is not responsible for articles left in your car.]

Ladies and gentlemen, I lost this election. Strike that. YOU people lost it for me. You didn't get out the vote, you didn't stuff enough ballot boxes, you didn't STEAL the election for me the way you promised.

It is ALL YOUR FAULT, you rotten bastards! What the hell's wrong you you assholes, anyway? What'd you do today, SLEEP IN? HE-LLO!-- today WAS election day!! Where the hell WERE YOU PEOPLE?

Don't you morons know that I spent MILLIONS of my own money in buying advertising, and paying YOUR GOD DAMN SALERIES AND HOTEL BAR BILLS? And what did I get for it? NOTHING! NADA! ZIP!

You bastards really let me down! And what happened to all that "netroot" crap you sold me on? Hamsher, you bitch! Where the hell were YOU, anyway? And as for Kos. This is the last time I'll let that lying idiot Markos con me into running for office. If he want's to get rid of Lieberman, ole 'bug-eye' can run for office hisself.

To my opponent: Okay.

You won!

Fuck you!

Your troops were better at stealing this election than mine were. And we all know that you did STEAL it, with Republican help. Republicans ALWAYS steal elections, those bastards.

I hope you burn in hell you war mongering bastard. You and that bastard Bush can go to hell.

Okay, I'm done for now. I'm gonna go back upstairs, get drunker. By the way. The bar's closed. The party's over. Get the hell out of here! Go get drunk on your own dime!

Whatcha think? Does it capture the mood of a drunk DUmmie in depression?

The progs are so predictable. At least when we (Republicans) tried to get Ralph Nadar on the ballot back in 2004, we didn't praise him as some kind of political hero. He was a useful idiot. Nothing more and nothing less.

Must... vote... Schlesinger...

If Lieberman wins and, so digusted by how is own party treated, goes Republican, then Kos's biggest (and only victory) will be turning a solidly Democratic Senate seat into a Republican one.

And that's funny; I don't care who you are.

I've asked this before, and I don't mean it rhetorically... What evidence is there that Kos is all that intelligent? Can anyone point to a lucid, insightful post of his that I might have missed?

Noone ever responds to this question, but I really want an answer. I know he gets lots of traffic, yada yada, but that doesn't mean anything. Everytime I read his blog its a lot of profanity laced crap.

The Kos post pretty much sums up Kos. He uses the phrase "anti-immigration" twice, showing he has no understanding of opposing views. He also calls Liebermann's position "sane and correct", which I suppose means that the views of his preferred candidate are insane and incorrect.

Also, just how many "anti-immigration" Republicans are in Connecticut, anyway? I suppose there are a few, but he talks like it's Texas.

I disagree, januarius. It looks to me like the trends follow the party with the bully pulpit (the Presidency), for the most part. Even during Bush's presidency, the Republican number trends up. Even during Carter's presidency, the Dem number trends up. And no, I'm not equating the two.

There is clearly some other factor related to "periods of peace" that is in play and independent of the President's party--particularly on the Dem side--but I can't put my finger on it.

Oh, and on the debate thing... I just watched the excerpts, and Lieberman pwned at the end.

I disagree, januarius. It looks to me like the trends follow the party with the bully pulpit (the Presidency), for the most part. Even during Bush’s presidency, the Republican number trends up. Even during Carter’s presidency, the Dem number trends up. And no, I’m not equating the two.

There is clearly some other factor related to “periods of peace” that is in play and independent of the President’s party–particularly on the Dem side–but I can’t put my finger on it.

The good news: those Truman Democrats won’t be around to trouble us much longer! The bad news: Bush has created more Democrats than FDR did.

If you look at the graph, the trend towards being a Democrat coincides with the exact time that multiculturalism began being the rage in the public schools in the early 90's. Today's heavily Democratic 20-year-olds have literally had, from kindergarten on, year after year of multicultural brainwashing, many of them not getting any moral basics of absolute right and wrong at home. The 90's were also the time of extreme left-wing history texts being adopted in state after state for the public schools, which teach the United States being the source of all ills and a moral equivalence between all nations. Diane Ravitch, an educational historian at the Brookings Institute, discusses the history of public education in her Left Back and The Language Police.

Also, we have had almost six years of President Bush's "new tone" appeasement of Democrats, while the MSM has been more biased than ever. It's too bad we couldn't have someone like Gingrich or Reagan who could communicate conservative ideals and who would be willing to proactively counter the Left.

Why is CREW ignoring THIS story?

WASHINGTON - Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid has been using campaign donations instead of his personal money to pay Christmas bonuses for the support staff at the Ritz-Carlton where he lives in an upscale condominium. Federal election law bars candidates from converting political donations for personal use.
