It seems that in the end, the winning side must be judged as having been God’s side, Darwin, so I agree with what you’ve said, even though the meaning remains in doubt. If it’s true, as I think it is, that one of the best Biblical commandments is that to “be shrewd as serpents,” then it seems Lynne Stewart has set a standard the rest of us must meet or exceed in order to be wholly righteous.
