– Rep. John Murtha, a decorated Marine veteran who favors withdrawing U.S. troops from
Iraq, wrote an essay for Sunday’s Washington Post blasting Republicans for referring to him and other Iraq war opponents as “Defeatocrats.”In his opinion piece, first published on the Post’s Web site Saturday night, Murtha, D-Pa., said Vice President
Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and others in the White House have called Iraq war opponents appeasers and pessimists and labeled Democrats the “cut and run” party.“It’s all baseless name-calling, and it’s all wrong,” Murtha wrote. “Unless, of course, being a Defeatocrat means taking a good hard look at the administration’s Iraq policy and determining that it’s a failure.”
I’m quite sure that isn’t what a Defeatocrat is. Perhaps Murtha should check out this website for a few examples.
Murtha’s essay is available here.

What a pathetic p—y.
It’s ok for him to smear active duty servicemen so viciously as to pronounce them guilty of war crimes before charges have been even filed, but he whines about being called names like ‘Defeatocrat’ and ‘cut and run democract’ (which he has legislatively proposed).
I can’t believe this (granny) panty waist was ever a U.S. Marine.

So even if you are a huge d-bag and stuffed shirt,if you haul enough pork into your district you can have no fear of boing voted out? Seem to work for Murtha and Byrd.

That a man can write something like that confident that he won’t be roundly called a fool for doing so is one indication of where things are headed. The betrayal of our servicemen and women that seems imminent is just too incredible to comprehend.

Can we ‘redeploy’ Murtha to Okinawa instead?
Maybe he can raise a white flag there, daily, and work to change the Marine Corps motto from “Semper Fidelis” (Always Faithful) to “Brutum Fulmen” (An Empty Threat).

Okinawa? How about re redeploy him to Tehran. Let him reconsider the strategy for defending ourselves from there. Maybe it’ll give him … some perspective.

The country is fighting a war overseas but the Democratic Party is fighting a war against the Republican Party. I knew that already, the Left has been fighting a war for decades now – but it’s nice to see Murtha say it in his own words.
That quote above is at the close of his essay. I didn’t do a word count but the only better, smarter, disciplined strategy in the entire 2 or 3 thousand words was bringing the troops home.
Perhaps the Democrats strategy, once the troops are all safely out of harms way, is to build something like a Maginot Line along the coast? Something like that would sure bring home the pork to a lot of their constituencies. I say that tongue in cheek – but what are they counting on?

This scumbag doesn’t deserve the title of US Marine. The Marine Corps motto is Semper Fidelis, latin for ‘Always Faithful’.
I think that his actions over the last year qualify him to be officially defrocked from anything relatiing to the Marines.

Murtha is pathetic and his party choses not to make war upon Al Qaeda, the Saddamists, or the Islamofascists. His party choses to make war upon the party in power.
Sabotaging a war for political gain is the worst form a treason I can imagine.

To bad we can’t put this traitor in the same
jail cell with Lynne Stewart.
They’d make great pair.

As usual, Murtha runs of at the mouth and forgets his own past words and deeds. He and several other Democrats should be jailed, not running for office.
