Two points to make here:

1. The resolution is being bandied about as The Strongest action that the UN Security Council has ever taken. They forget that in 1950, the UNSC DECLARED WAR on North Korea after it invaded the south. I submit going to war is a tad stronger than threatening to search cargo ships for contraband.

2. I see a scenario developing. The United States starts inspecting ships going and coming from North Korea, as they did to Iraq bound and departing shipping in the Persian and Arabian gulfs after the Gulf war.

The North Koreans attempt a reprise of the USS Pueblo incident.

North Korea loses a naval base. Or more.
